Park Shin Hye was spotted embracing an African child in the country of Nepal in to commemorate the 20th anniversary of KBS ‘사랑의 리퀘스트’ (Love’s Request).

It is known that actress Park ShinHye has recently visited a village Tapatali in Nepal.
She is there to personally deliver fan-prepared stationery for children in the village. Even though by country policy, many children got the chance to go to school there, many facilities were still lacking for the children.
She also visited the homes of the needy and took care of a 12-year-old child’s sibling and their mother. In addition, she also went down to the quarry to help out workers who live in the slums, carrying the rocks and a big hammer with her small hand.
Park ShinHye even worn the Santa Clause costumes making Christmas happen in the village by giving out presents and taking photo – making this Christmas a special one for the kids who only know about Christmas through stories told by others.
She said, “Looking at the smiles of the children who live in such difficult situation, I wanted to spread more love so I joined this volunteering project. But I felt sorry about that because I felt I have received more love.”

►►Koreans choose SNSD as 2009 best singer and “Gee” as best song

Poll organization Korea Gallup announces the annual poll collated from the 2 polls done in May and November over 2,919 Korean netizens from the age 13 to 59, summarizing the Korean music industry for both 1st and 2nd half of the year.
And So Nyeo Shi Dae has been voted the best singer of the year for their hit songs and trends with ‘Gee’ and ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ with 29.8% of the votes from the 2,919 who voted.
At #2 is Big Bang (21.1% of votes), even though the group did not have activities in Korea this year, the members had their solo activities and this is their 3rd year at #2 on the annual poll. And at #3 is 2PM who made hits with ‘Again & Again’ and ‘Heartbeat’.

SBS Drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ popularity is indeed giving a good effect to one of the cast Jung Yong Hwa.
He will join his band C.N. Blue for their new MV filming and spend the Christmas with their fans.
It is known that even before their official debut a fan club is already established due to the band popularity thanks to the drama. And as a Christmas treat, the band wants to repay the fans’ support by confirming their debut via an MV release.
FNC Music says that C.N. Blue will be shooting their debut MV in Ilsan from Dec 24 (8pm) until Dec 25 (5 am) together with their fans.
FNC Music,” The band will feature their fans in their debut MV, and these fans were gathered previously through an online recruitment”.
C.N. Blue will also hold a small event and (or) fanmeeting to the recruited fans who will spend their time and effort for the MV filming despite the late hours filming and the cold weather.
Meanwhile, C.N.Blue is set to release their music video as well as their debut mini album in early January of 2010.

►►FT Island’s $150 Singapore Fanmeet tickets sold out in 30 minuntes
$150 is never too expensive for international fans, eh?
Fresh from their short trip last December 2009 for Singapore’s Sundown Festival – Seoul’d Out Combined Concert, popular 5-member Korean idol band FT Island is planning to visit their fans again at the end of January 2010 in an exclusive Fanmeeting and Fansign event.
Tickets sales began last Saturday, 19 December 2009, 1pm local time, at IMM Mall, which is one of the sponsors for the event. Limited number of tickets are sold at S$150 (Fanmeet + Fansign) and S$100 (Fanmeet only).
Despite the tickets’ steep pricing for the group’s fanbase -which is mainly made up of young students-, throngs of fans still queued up to buy the tickets. Some fans even started queueing up at the mall’s entrance from 10pm the previous night, just to get their hands on the S$150 tickets.
Their efforts to come early paid off and they managed to get the tickets they wanted. The rest of the S$150 tickets were sold out within the first 30 minutes of tickets sales. Meanwhile, 80% of the remaining S$100 tickets were sold during the first day sale.
This will be FT Island’s third visit to Singapore, after their first showcase in June 2009 and a combined concert performance in December 2009.
FT Island’s Fanmeeting will be held on 30 January 2010, at Dragonfly, St. James Powerstation, while their Fansigning will be held on 29 January 2010 at IMM Garden Plaza.

On the December 22nd episode of “Strong Heart” featuring SNSD, an issue came up, “Has anyone in SNSD borrowed money from you and not repayed?”
Somewhat shyly, Seohyun revealed that Yuri had once borrowed a whopping 1920 won (~$2.00) to buy jellies back when Seohyun was in middle school. She casually put it off saying that it didn’t matter anymore when Shindong commented, “The way I see it, when she says it doesn’t matter anymore, she’s actually saying, ‘At least pay it back now.'”
After being sidetracked, Seohyun continued with her story. “So because we have 9 members in the group, our schedules are pretty tight. If we have something scheduled at 6 A.M. we have to get up at 3 or 4 to be on time. If we aren’t, everything gets pushed back. So I told everyone, ‘For every minute late, I’ll collect 1000 won (~$1.00) from everyone. I think I’ve collected more than 1 million won (~$1000).”
So who’s been penalized the most?
“Jessica unni… I usually have to wake her up 5 times. We were an hour late once because of her.”
That’s $60 right there!
Taeyeon confirmed Seohyun’s mobster like behavior, “Once I was second into the car and she said to me, ‘Unni, you’re a minute late, $1 please.'”
And where does all the money go? The girls use it for necessities such as groceries and the like.

►►Jang Geun Suk & Han Ye Seul are 2009 Best Dressed Celebrities
According to online fashion site (atzine.com), actor Jang Geun Suk and actress Han Ye Seul are the best dressed celebrities.
This poll was held from the 14th to the 17th and the two received the most votes from a poll of 800 people, naming them ‘2009’s Best Dressers.’
Jang Geun Suk came in at first by taking 44% of the votes. He played the role of a celebrity in his hit SBS drama, ‘You’re Beautiful,’ and thanks to this role, he was able to be dressed in quite fashionable attire that was loved by viewers. His Hwang Tae Kyung outfits even started a fashion trend in Korea and he has been dubbed as ‘Wan-Pan-Nam’ (완판남), meaning that his fashion has become a hit.
Following Jang Geun Suk, Kang Dong came in at 2nd with 28% of the votes, Kim Hyun Joong in 3rd with 18%, Lee Minho in 4th with 7%, Gong Yoo in 5th with 2%, and Ji Hyun Woo in 6th with 1%.
For the females, Han Ye Seul won ‘Best Dresser’ thanks to her simple yet glamorous red carpet looks. She beat Yoon Eun Hye for first with 33% of the votes, but by only 3%. In third was Seo In Young with 13% of the votes, Kim Ha Neul in 4th with 10%, Ha Ji Won in 5th with 7%, and Park Shin Hye in 6th with 1%.

According to South Korean Media reported, a search portal released the most popular search keyword in 2009. MBC Drama ‘Queen Seon Duk’, popular idol group SS501 member Kim Hyun Joong and others, are listed in the 2009 South Korea’s most popular search keywords list.
According to the the search portal’s statistics, among the 2009 hottest Top 10 search keywords, majority are drama names, other than the No.1 search word, ‘lottery’, most other keywords are ‘Queen Seon Duk’, ‘Wife’s Temptation’, ‘Boys Over Flowers’ and other drama names.
As for the person’s name search rankings, SS501 Kim Hyun Joong is ranked No.1, and Lee Min Ho who acted in ‘Boys Over Flowers’ together with Kim Hyun Joong is ranked No. 2. Other than that Korean Figure Skater Kim Yuna, Korean Singer Lee Seung Gi, Former President Roh Moo Hyun who committed suicide and others also entered into the top 10.

The most recent header on Ok Taecyeons cyworld on his minihompy is ‘how did my private photos get released’ he revealed that it has been hacked and closed the photo, diary, menu section altogether.
Not long ago private photos of Taecyeon were going round the internet.
Meanwhile, through his minihompy angry fans, has been communicating quickly saying “Who the hell would do that ..why would you offend his privacy?” “okgun, please relax,”.
Ok Taeceyon went on minihompy and was active for Oktizens to make them happy. Even though there isn’t anything on his minihompy there has already been over 12,000 visitors from 4pm today.

Usually, being the most searched celebrity on a search engine shows the fame that a certain person has. Well 2009 wasn’t any different for these headline hoggers.
The most searched artists on Korean search engine and media portal Nate.com in 2009 was the new girl group 2NE1. They debuted with their single “Fire” in May of this year. So in over half a year, they became the most searched artists on Nate. What a big achievement considering the fact that 2PM and SNSD came in second and third respectively.

The song is quite catchy and I find myself replaying the performance. TaeYang makes a vocal appearance in the song at 0:59 and again at 1:46.
Earlier in November, it was reported that TaeYang will be working with Thelma Aoyama for a track called “Fall In Love” off her new album. Japanese pop singer, Thelma Aoyama has recently performed “Fall In Love,” and guess whose voice was heard on the track?
TaeYang was not present at the fan meeting when Thelma Aoyama performed the song, but watching the performance, you will be able to hear his voice.
Thelma Aoyama’s album will be released on January 27, 2010. Like Thelma, TaeYang is currently working on an album of his own, his second solo album. This album will be called REAL and as of now, the release date has not been confirmed or announced.

Hankyung, Super Junior’s only Chinese member in the 13 member group, has filed a lawsuit against the effects of his exclusive contract with the defendant SM Entertainment because of their unfair activity scheduling which has caused him gastritis and kidney illness.
Through Hankyung’s legal representative, the lawsuit to terminate his exclusive contract was filed on the 21st with the Seoul District Court.
According to the litigation, Hankyung has not even been given a single rest day per week after debut. It has been said, “Because of the recent continuous overseas activities etc, it has almost been 2 years since he last rested, he has been rushing schedules (all this while).” “Due to contract obligations and heavy penalties, even during bad health, he was not to skip any scheduled activities.”
Hankyung’s side emphasized, “Because of these kind of health problems, (he) has continuously put forward requests to rest, but has always been rejected.” They added, “Except for when they started their perfomances in 2006, at other times, he had to stay in Korea.” “Through their manager, Hankyung requested from SM for leave to return to China to rest but he was rejected every single time.”
Hankyung’s side added, Hankyung’s exclusive contract terms
▶SM was definitely in a more superior position signing on unfair terms in the contract
▶The contract would span 13 years (starting from the release of their first album)
▶Incorporated excessive damages and in terms of the contract, if he voided it, he would be blocked (from other activities)
▶Allocation of rights and obligations in the contract were significantly off-balanced
▶SM had the right to request Hankyung to be in any activity
▶Profit-splitting rights and provisions were also off-balance, hence the intiation of the lawsuit against SM to terminate his exclusive contract.

Super Junior member Kim HeeChul and ‘You’re Beautiful’ cast Park ShinHye and Jung YoungHwa will be the MCs for upcoming 2009 SBS Gayo DaeJun.
SBS Gayo DaeJun will take place on 29th December in IlSan Kintex.
Meanwhile, the trio will be joined by other singers like Lee SeungGi, GDragon, 2PM TaecYeon etc for a variety of performances for the year-end event.
