After School‘s subunit, Happy Pledis, has been known to be releasing a new single called “Love, Love, Love” as a charity fundraiser this Christmas. Since they will be releasing their teaser MV on December 7th, the girls came out with their photo concept first.

Christmas is not here but you can tell that After School is ready!
On December 1st, After School sub-unit Orange Caramel hosted the radio show “Bang Bang School“. During the show, they played a ten-second snippet of the song “Love Love Love” from “Happy Pledis The First Album”. The album will go on sale on December 7, as part of an event called “Happy Pledis”. The event is meant to return the support that Pledis Entertainment’s artists have received from their fans.
On Wednesday, the album cover image was unveiled, featuring all members of After School except Bekah. A representative from Pledis stated that she is currently on vacation. “Bekah will be taking time off from the group’s activities for two to three months, staying at her home in Hawaii since she hasn’t been back for three to four years from pursuing her singing career.” [Soompi]
►►After School creates yet another subunit group called “Happy Pledis”?
A teaser picture was posted on After School’s website, featuring the 7 of the girls (Bekah is missing). With the name Happy Pledis on the top, it announces “Love Love Love” as their first single to be released on December 7th.
Since it says “first single”, it might be another After School sub group unit. Pledis Entertainment has not yet announced further information on the group’s comeback.

As for me, I don’t see the point of Pledis making another sub group out of ALL members EXCEPT Bekah…what does that even say to her fans out there? That they’re “Happy Pledis” without her?? 😦

Is anyone actually attending this year’s MAMAs 2010?
The Mnet Asian Music Awards began to run into trouble this year starting with their controversial move from Korea to Macau.
Korean broadcast companies such as SBS, KBS and MBC argued the move saying that artists would have to choose between the MAMAs or their Korean end of the year show because of the timing.
DSP Entertainment says that KARA’s busy schedule is keeping the group from attending both the 2010 MAMAs as well as the 2010 Melon Music Awards.
All of the other artists have also cited busy schedules as their reason for pulling out.

It seems like the new generation of After School members are all talented at singing trot! Back in November of 2009 when Raina and Nana were admitted into After School, Nana sang a snippet of a trot song to show off her talent. Well, looks like new admitted member Lizzy will be following in her footsteps! Equipped with a cute voice, newest maknae Lizzy sings a short cover of a trot song. Afterwards, main vocalist Raina also sings a short cover of another trot song and begins to laugh towards the end.
Forbes Korea reveals the top 20 hardworking idols for 2009
Forbes Korea has released their yearly survey. This time they ranked the most hardworking idols from 2009-2010. After releasing his solo album and concerts and at the same time promoting with his group – Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon tops this year’s chart as the Most Hardworking Idol. Big Bang’s Daesung was also included in the ranking at #13 for his appearances on variety shows.

After School gives us a Bang! dance lesson
It’s been almost a month since After School released theirBang! single and it’s a real shame that we haven’t seen them perform that often on television due to unfortunate events that were out of their control.
Despite not performing that often, their dance cheoreography has gained much attention and Pledis has released a Bang! dance lesson video for fans to pick up the dance. The original members Kahi, Jungah, Jooyeon and Bekah are in the majority of this video as they take you through the main points of the dance, with the younger members Raina, Nana and Lizzy appearing towards the end.

We reported earlier about the tentative lineup for the upcoming Dream Concert 2010 and the finalized list has been announced recently.
Dream Concert is undoubtedly an event of epic proportions for kpop fans – with nearly twenty of Korea’s hottest artists performing on one stage in front of an audience that’s 40,000 members strong. For 2010, Dream Concert has been scheduled to take place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium next month on May 22nd, and will be taped for future broadcast by SBS.

Rookie singer Jerry makes his debut with Love
It’s a daunting period to be making your debut now especially with so many big name singers making their comeback, but you just got to take the opportunity when it comes.
Rookie solo singer, Jerry (real name: Dae Sung Ho aged 22) who is reportedly a descendant of the great Dae Jo Young who founded the Balhae Dynasty will be making his debut starting this week with his single called, Love and has Ha Joo Yeon of Jewelry rapping for him.
His teaser video was released on the 14th together with a stream of congratulatory message from his seniors like KARA, T-ara, After School, CNBlue, 2AM, BEASTand Supreme Team. They all wished him well on his debut and hope to see him on stage soon. Actress Choi Ara also stars in his music video.
His agency expressed, “There has been a lot of expectation surrounding Jerry when he was a trainee and he has built up a lot of musical friendships through exchanges with his seniors. He will do his best to repay their faith in him to do well.”
And the full music video was released on the 15th.

After School shows off adorable selcas
After’s School’s sexy leader Kahi is known for showing off her charmingselcas on her minihompy and now it seems like the members are following in their leader’s footsteps.
On Jooyeon’s minihompy, she uploaded pictures on to her diary dedicated to her fans. Though After School is either charismatic or sexy on stage, the selcas were more adorable and hilarious.
The pink tiger was quite unique. It was nice to see the members hang out with each other and these pictures show how down to earth they are.
