Is anyone actually attending this year’s MAMAs 2010?
The Mnet Asian Music Awards began to run into trouble this year starting with their controversial move from Korea to Macau.
Korean broadcast companies such as SBS, KBS and MBC argued the move saying that artists would have to choose between the MAMAs or their Korean end of the year show because of the timing.
DSP Entertainment says that KARA’s busy schedule is keeping the group from attending both the 2010 MAMAs as well as the 2010 Melon Music Awards.
All of the other artists have also cited busy schedules as their reason for pulling out.

►►Davichi reveals their comeback plans for 2010
Female duo Davichi will be back 1 years and 3 months since their last album ‘Davichi in WonderLand’.
Davichi will be releasing a new minialbum ‘Innocence’ working with some of the best composers in Korea like Bang ShiHyuk, Brown Eyes YoonGun, Kim DoHoon, Park HaeWoo and Yoon MyeongSeon etc.
And it is known that the title song ‘Stop The Time’ is written by Bang ShiHyuk who made hits like Baek Ji Young ‘Like Being Hit’, 2AM ‘I won’t let you go even if I die’, T-ara ‘Like The beginning’ etc. The title song will be a ballad with a punk rock twist. In addition, ‘Stop The Time’ will be like the group’s previous hit ’8282′ which has a trance dance style.
The girls will be back with their comeback stage on KBS Music Bank on 14th May.

►►Official line-up list for Dream Concert 2010 revealed
We reported earlier about the tentative lineup for the upcoming Dream Concert 2010 and the finalized list has been announced recently.
Dream Concert is undoubtedly an event of epic proportions for kpop fans – with nearly twenty of Korea’s hottest artists performing on one stage in front of an audience that’s 40,000 members strong. For 2010, Dream Concert has been scheduled to take place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium next month on May 22nd, and will be taped for future broadcast by SBS.

►►Performers/line-up list for Dream Concert 2010 revealed!
The performers line-up for the upcoming 16th Dream Concert was revealed earlier through Japanese online portals. Indeed, thanks to the Hallyu Fan Card, Japanese fans can already apply for the presale until April 14th, whereas the reservations will be open starting from mid-April in South Korea.
Related to 4Minute: [The information is still to be confirmed by PlayCube which has to reveal about the girls’ following activities but especially their tight schedule for May. 4Minute’s Japanese debut is set for May 1st (with the further release of the Muzik single Japanese ver. on May 5) and their Korean comeback was announced by newspapers for mid-May.]

►►Davichi’s new album pushed back due to car accident

I was looking forward to Davichi’s new release but MinKyung should definitely rest first 🙂
Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung has met with a car accident.
On 11th March at 11pm, it was known that Kang Min Kyung has met with a car accident on her way home after doing album recordings.
During the accident, Kang Min Kyung was driving the car and fortunately she did not suffer from any major injuries. According to Davichi’s company on 12th March, “Fortunately she did not suffer from any major injuries, we don’t know if there is any after effects and hence we sent her to the hospital for health examination on 12th March. And she is currently resting at home.”
From the hospital side, they have given instructions for Kang Min Kyung to rest for 2 weeks for her neck injury.
Meanwhile, before the car accident, it was originally planned for Davichi to release a new minialbum end of this month, but the album has now been pushed to be released in mid-April.

►►Davichi to make a comeback after more than one year of absence
It seems to be the time of the year of Korean artists to make their comeback. Yes, female duo Davichi will finally return to the music scene in quite a long time! It’s been over one year since they released their hit album Davichi In Wonderland back in February 2009. They are already well known for their numerous hit tracks in the past, including 8282, Hot Stuff, Love and War, My Man and I Hate You Because I Love You.
According to Davichi’s agency, their new mini album is 80% complete. They will release their mini-album in mid-March, at the earliest. Composers who have contributed to their upcoming album include Park Geun Tae, Jo Young Soo, Park Hae Woon and Bang Shi Hyuk.
Davichi’s agency stated, “Because a lot of famous composers have taken part in this album, we will be able to get popularity and quality at the same time.”
