The Mnet Asian Music Awards began to run into trouble this year starting with their controversial move from Korea to Macau.
Korean broadcast companies such as SBS, KBS and MBC argued the move saying that artists would have to choose between the MAMAs or their Korean end of the year show because of the timing.
DSP Entertainment says that KARA’s busy schedule is keeping the group from attending both the 2010 MAMAs as well as the 2010 Melon Music Awards.
All of the other artists have also cited busy schedules as their reason for pulling out.

The golden couple shall leave for their 4 day honeymoon at Bali,Indonesia the next day. We still do not understand why some people Lee Jung-hyun would turn up wearing casual clothes. Why jeans? It’s Jang Dong-gun’s wedding for crying out loud!

►►MBLAQ’s Joon is scared when Rain acts like a girl and calls him “hubby”
MBLAQ Lee Joon revealed boss Rain’s shocking charms. On the April 30th broadcast of SBS Intimate Note 3, Lee Joon appeared as another one of Rain’s best friend and revealed an interesting episode.
Lee Joon appeared on Ninja Assassin as the younger version of Rain’s character and went to Hollywood with Rain during the filming period. Lee Joon said, “I’m not sure if he remembers this. I went overseas together with Rain for the poster photoshoot. He was swimming coolly. Suddenly he turned and flipped his hair back, and shouted “Hubby~ Hubby~ Hubby~”. Everyone got curious.
“I was caught off guard so I stayed still. Hyung asked, “If your girlfriend calls you that, how would you feel?”. Then I found out he was acting as a girl.” MC Shin Jung Hwan immediately said, “So Rain still has a female role to play”.
In this episode, Lee Joon also revealed Rain’s three anger stages. “When MBLAQ is rehearsing, Rain gets very angry at times. In the earliest stage, he would quietly point out things. Then, he would hit the sides with a stick while he says, “Practice more, sleep only when sleep is dead”. Finally he would say in a tone sounding like he gave up, “Go.” Danny Ahn who was also on the show said, “Just like what Park Jin Young used to say to GOD”.

►►Rain, “Ripping my shirt is better than singing 1,000 songs on stage”
Singer Rain reveals his honest thoughts about ripping his shirt on stage.
He was on SBS Close Note 3 aired on 30th April when he said, “For me, as compared to the effect for singing a hundred or thousand songs, the effect with just ripping my shirt one time is bigger.”
He also revealed, “I’ve received dashing by other females after my 2nd album. But I didn’t have any strange relationship with other singers, they were all models.”
He was then asked by the MCs “So did you go out with them?”, Rain answered, “I was so innocent back then that I didn’t know that it was dashing. So when they called to ask me out for a meal late at night, I just rejected saying that I’m not hungry.”
Rain had revealed previously on another program, “I’ve dated 2 entertainers and 2 normal people. 2 before debut and 2 after debut.”
And when asked if Park JinYoung knows of his dating, “Park JinYoung knows.”

►►Rain reveals MBLAQ’s possible comeback date
Superstar Rain / Bi was a guest on SBS ETV recently and shared a story about a fake baby momma.
One day when Rain was renovating his condo, he came home and saw a strange woman he’s never seen before at his house. When he asked this lady who she was, she replied “I’m pregnant with your child.” They eventually took this woman to a hospital and got her checked out and they found that she was mentally unstable. At the end of the interview he stated, “I’m a clean innocent man…” which resulted in much laughter from the audience. This segment is scheduled to air on May 5th at 9pm on SBS.
Rain also made an appearance on MBC’s Starry Night Radio with MBLAQ and discussed their potential comeback. Rain was asked, “When is MBLAQ coming back? We’ve been waiting for their return for so long.” Rain responded with, “They’re not coming back. Don’t expect anything because they’re not coming back. Just Kidding! We’re thinking about a return date around May 20th. They’ve been working very hard and we’ve been discussing the date, so it’ll be some time in May but I don’t have an exact date… However, I expect around May 20th.”

►►Lee Hyori, “I had the alien concept for the MV because I couldn’t think”
Lee Hyori talks about the MV for her comeback song ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ off her 4th album ‘H-Logic’.
Lee Hyori was recently featured for an interview on ‘Section TV Entertainment’ while she was filming for a jeans photoshoot. When asked about the unique concept of ‘the queen from outer space’ for her MV, Lee Hyori said, “Because I did not have any particular concept in mind, I went for the alien concept.”
She added, “So many singers have covered so many different concepts. So I thought I could try transforming as the queen from outer space.”
When asked if she felt burdensome after coming back the same time as Rain, she said, “I don’t know if we will harm one another in terms of album sales, but I get the feeling that we are supporting each other.”

►►Rain fainted and rushed to the hospital
After a performance at Mnet Countdown, Rain was immediately taken to the hospital due to a serious flu. On the 22nd, Rain was at Seoul Samangdong CJ E&M center pre-recording for his new song, Love Song, for Mnet Countdown, but right after he was done with recording, he immediately passed out in the waiting room.
According to the entertainment staff, Rain had a serious case of the flu since the day before the recording but still managed to finish the pre-recording without any hardships but was taken to the hospital right after.
According to one of the representative, after Rain’s comeback, he has practiced everyday, non-stop along with interviews and various concerts in Japan. Due to having so many schedule, Rain has not been able to get a good rest sleep.
With his new album, Back to Basics, and his hit song, Love Song, Rain is continuously gaining popularity and love from many of his fans.

►►Official line-up list for Dream Concert 2010 revealed
We reported earlier about the tentative lineup for the upcoming Dream Concert 2010 and the finalized list has been announced recently.
Dream Concert is undoubtedly an event of epic proportions for kpop fans – with nearly twenty of Korea’s hottest artists performing on one stage in front of an audience that’s 40,000 members strong. For 2010, Dream Concert has been scheduled to take place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium next month on May 22nd, and will be taped for future broadcast by SBS.

►►Rain acknowledges 2PM’s Taecyeon as his beastly junior
The ‘original beastly male’ Rain acknowledged his junior beastly male 2PM’s Taeceon.
Handsome with a chiseled body and even a wild feel, Rain participated in SBS’s music program ‘Inkigayo.’
Before he went on stage to sing his new special album’s title track, ‘The Song That’ll Hold You Back,’ he appeared in the MC’s corner and held a conversation with ‘Inkigayo MC’s 2PM Taecyeon and Junho, along with f(x)’s Sulli.
After introducing his new ballad song, Junho asked him, “Rain sunbae, you are the original beastly male. Do you see any possibility of Taecyeon being a beastly male, too?”
Rain brightly smiled and patted Taecyeon’s back while answering, “Nobody can copy the way Taecyeon rips his clothes,” complimenting Taecyeon as his charismatic beastly junior. Taecyeon bowed in respect and thankfulness at Rain’s compliment.
Rain even gave a word of advice when Sulli asked, “Will we be able to become a world star too?” answering, “As long as you guys work together and do your best.”

►►Rain’s “Love Song” MV gets banned for violating…traffic laws
On the 9th, it has been reported that Rain’s fresh released music video for his comeback track Love Song has been deemed inappropriate for broadcast by KBS.
Their reason for such action was not because of the lovey dovey “bed scene” Rain had with the actress Han Ye Seul, but because he had evidently broken the traffic law… by sprinting wildly across the road!
KBS believed that Rain’s disregard for traffic regulations by running across the road was inappropriate to be shown on their channel.

►►Which celebs do netizens want to go on a vacation with?
From March 31 to April 7, a poll was conducted on the homepage of “Runaway from Home”, in light of the upcoming movie’s release. It inquired, ‘Without any particular reason, who do you want to flee on a vacation with?’
Netizens voted and an overwhelming majority ranked Lee Hyori and Jaebum 1st place as the female and male winners respectively.
Bypassing international superstar Rain and teenage heartthrob Lee Seung Gi, Jaebum received 51% of the votes. Lee Hyori, on the other hand, earned 44%, outnumbering the votes for SNSD’s Yoona and High Kick Through the Roof actress Shin Se Kyung.
Runaway from Home is a comedy film revolving around Seong Hee (played by Ji Jin Hee) who seeks to find his runaway wife (played by Kim Min Seon) with his friend Dong Min (played by Il Joon Yang) and his brother-in-law Yoo Kwak (played by Lee Moon Sik). The movie, which follows the story of these three immature men throughout their search, is set to air on the 8th.

The performers line-up for the upcoming 16th Dream Concert was revealed earlier through Japanese online portals. Indeed, thanks to the Hallyu Fan Card, Japanese fans can already apply for the presale until April 14th, whereas the reservations will be open starting from mid-April in South Korea.

►►Rain reveals the number of girlfriends he had in the past
The number isn’t so bad for a big guy like Rain but to think that he wanted to marry each one everytime? that’s just kinda funny lol
With his new album BACK TO THE BASIC and comeback going into full swing, singer Rain has revealed that he has only had four girlfriends in the past.
“Of these four girls, I believed I would marry each one. Whenever I fall in love I always think that I will get married.” the pop icon said. “My first love was in high school and I met a model through a blind date right before my debut. After my debut I dated two other girls.”
Rain appeared on KBS’s Win Win. “Before my debut I was really excited because I got to work with someone I really respected.” When asked who this person was by MCs Kim Seung Woo and Taeyeon, Rain said, “I can’t tell you now, but I will if I come back.”
“During the promotions for my second album, I was approached by a lot of female stars. They asked me to go out to have dinner with them. Back then I thought, ‘Why do they want to eat with me?’ but now I realize how brave they were to come up to me.”
Rain also revealed details about how he dates. “On one first date I gave a girl a piggy back ride.” and “To avoid unwanted attention I have had a lot of dates in cars, but this can be tiring. I think if you try to hide yourself, people will notice you more. So I think it’s better to just go out in public and hold hands to look normal.”
He also offered advice to 2PM’s Wooyoung saying, “If you want to find love, look for it with people who are close to you.“
