Watcha say?!?! This is crazy! I am all excited!
Last week, former Fly To The Sky member Brian Joo released his new digital single In My Head. With a music video just about to be released, it’s now been revealed that he will be performing with Jason Derulo, the original artist of the song!
Jason Derulo is an American R&B artist most famous for his 2009 hit Whatcha Say. Derulo originally created In My Head but Brian borrowed Derulo’s track and covered the song with a little k-pop twist. Both songs were released around the same time and have been getting a lot of attention in their respective countries.
Derulo was planning a tour and received requests to appear in Korea. His decision to go was assured when he watched the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and saw Kim Yuna perform. The performance was so fantastic that he agreed to seek out the country that she was from.
On the 17th and 18th, Derulo will be holding a special showcase at Club Heaven in Seoul. On the 19th, Derulo will go on air with Brian to put on a duet performance.

On fan communities such as ‘JYP 2PM FanCafe,’ ‘HwanSang,’ and the official fanclub, Hottest, there have been posts that detailed the suicide of a fan on the 5th.
The post explained the reason why she committed suicide and her name, bringing about great shock to the netizens. The fan cafe that it was posted in holds 110,000 members. There are still posts commemorating her death even now.

It is hard to confirm whether this post is real or not. It may truly be a real post but it might also be a hardcore fan’s ploy in order to pressure JYPE. Netizens have brought forth opinions asking for JYPE and 2PM to properly exchange discussions with the fans in order to verify the truth of the post.

2PM’s leader Park Jaebeom has quit for good, after it was announced on JYPE’s website in the evening of February 25th, shocking Hottests in Korea and the world.
JYP Entertainment expressed in an online letter,
Last September, 2PM’s member Park Jaebeom announced his withdrawal from the group and returned to Seattle after a message he wrote on the internet during his trainee days caused backlash. We will now reveal what course of action will be taken.
Although the message that became an issue last September upset many people, it was written during Jaebeom’s tough trainee days on his personal page. At the time, the company agreed with Jaebeom when he asked to take some time for self-reflection. We did not think that this meant that he would stop all activities in the entertainment industry or that he would leave 2PM.
The company had the option of forcing Park Jaebeom to stay and continue promoting with a 7 member 2PM. However, although netizens exaggerated Jaebeom’s words through mistranslations, his words still had the potential to hurt many people. Because of this, we did not want to endorse Jaebeom and force him to continue promotions because it might have damaged his image permanently in the public eye, and so we agreed with his decision to return to the States.
When a celebrity makes a mistake and does not apologize for his / her mistake or if the company endorses that celebrity, the public view of that celebrity becomes more negative and it was in the company’s thoughts that letting Jaebeom withdraw from the group for self-discipline would be good.
Thankfully, after Park Jaebeom left the country, an outpour of support gave him another chance.

When I say “real life”, I do mean real life…they aint no flower boys though =.=; but of course, they got enough dough in their pockets..
After the huge success of Boys Over Flowers, it seems someone thought having a reality show following the lives of four real life rich flower boys would be a good idea. Coming soon to Korean cable channel On Style is Papa Rich (파파리치), which will follow the luxurious life of four young chaebeols. The four players in this show are: Eom Seong Mo, 25 the son of a medical family that owns several hospitals; Yoon Suk Min, 25 son of parents who own a financial group; Kim Hyung Woo, 21 grandson of the K Group; and Park Jae Young, 20 grandson of the M Company.
The show follows their life in which their family’s fortunes puts them in the top 1% of the Korean population in terms of wealth. They have allowances in excess of ₩20,000,000 ( yes, all those zeros are correct – about $20,000) a month, drive luxury foreign cars, and ‘hang out’ with friends in ways beyond what most of us are able to. The four are said to have different and interesting personalities and the show will follow all aspects of their life not just the happy and fun stuff, but also all the stress and difficulties they experience. They grew up going to all the upper class schools, leading somewhat sheltered lives, and have much pressure on them regarding their futures. Hmmm, talk about life imitating art. I wonder if one of them will fall in love with the plucky daughter of a dry cleaner, and then his mom finds out and goes ballistic, but then his best friend falls in love with her too?
