►►Japanese fans can’t get enough of 4Minute
It has been reported that both days of girl group 4minute‘s solo concerts in Tokyo and Osaka have been completely sold out according to officials from the venues.
The mini tour, entitled “4Minute LIVE Energy Vol.2 DIAMOND” will be held on the 4th at Zepp Tokyo and on the 5th in Osaka at the DOJIMA RIVER FORUM. The girls will be performing the songs that helped to catapult them to rising star status, including “First,” “Muzik,” and “Hot Issue,” all in Japanese, which will certainly make for a hot stage.
With performances never before seen by the public, the girls will certainly capture Japan’s hearts. Fans are already excited for the concert, which promises to recreate a club feel thanks to their lively tunes and the fact that the concerts are standing only.
Representatives for the girls have said, “4Minute will repay the fans who have always supported them with a wonderful stage, and through their intensive Japanese studies and preparations for solo performances, they hope everyone will enjoy the solo concerts.”

►►4Minute’s HyunA forgets the lyrics to Oh Won Bin’s song while performing
4minute’s Hyuna ruined Oh Won Bin’s comeback stage made quite the performance mistake while participating in ex-F.T. Island member Oh Won Bin’s comeback stage.
Won Bin’s “I Love You and I Love You” was broadcast live on MBC’s “Show! Music Core“, and the performance was off to a good start until Hyuna forgot the lyrics around the 2:07 mark.
After the performance, a representative from Hyuna’s agency spoke with Star News and stated, “Hyuna rehearsed a lot before going up on stage but ended up making a mistake by forgetting the lyrics. She had a lot of schedules to go through before the performance and was unfortunately unable to show off everything she had practiced on stage. She is extremely sorry to Oh Won Bin.”
…I don’t get why Won Bin doesn’t let BEG Miryo to do it instead since she was the one featured in his album. Maybe scheduling conflict? Either way, I think that making mistakes is fine…just not on someone else’s comeback stage =.=”

Is anyone actually attending this year’s MAMAs 2010?
The Mnet Asian Music Awards began to run into trouble this year starting with their controversial move from Korea to Macau.
Korean broadcast companies such as SBS, KBS and MBC argued the move saying that artists would have to choose between the MAMAs or their Korean end of the year show because of the timing.
DSP Entertainment says that KARA’s busy schedule is keeping the group from attending both the 2010 MAMAs as well as the 2010 Melon Music Awards.
All of the other artists have also cited busy schedules as their reason for pulling out.

Forbes Korea reveals the top 20 hardworking idols for 2009
Forbes Korea has released their yearly survey. This time they ranked the most hardworking idols from 2009-2010. After releasing his solo album and concerts and at the same time promoting with his group – Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon tops this year’s chart as the Most Hardworking Idol. Big Bang’s Daesung was also included in the ranking at #13 for his appearances on variety shows.

►►Official line-up list for Dream Concert 2010 revealed
We reported earlier about the tentative lineup for the upcoming Dream Concert 2010 and the finalized list has been announced recently.
Dream Concert is undoubtedly an event of epic proportions for kpop fans – with nearly twenty of Korea’s hottest artists performing on one stage in front of an audience that’s 40,000 members strong. For 2010, Dream Concert has been scheduled to take place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium next month on May 22nd, and will be taped for future broadcast by SBS.

4minute creates love for Personal Taste OST
A few weeks ago we reported that 4minute was in attendance at a press conference for the drama Personal Taste. The girls have a medium tempo ballad track on the Personal Taste OST (soundtrack) titled Creating Love.
During the press conference, the lovely girls sang Creating Love for the first time but you only got to hear bits and pieces of the song. Now the track has finally been released and you can hear the full song.
This ballad is a bit different from the uptempo tracks like Muzik, but this song fits the drama very well. The girls show off their lovely vocals which was a bit hidden with the computerized effects of their previous hit singles. Hopefully, they’ll do some more ballads in their next album. ►►4Minute HyunA’s comback confirmed for April!
If you were a fan of Change, then you’re in for a real treat!
After dropping jaws of pubescent men everywhere, 4minute member HyunA is back at it again, this time changing it up (get the pun?) with a new track!
Rumor has it that the track is produced by E-Tribe (the guys behind a few small tracks you may have heard of called Gee and U-Go-Girl) and will feature Nassun, whose claim to fame is his vocal feature in Lee Hyori’s U-Go Girl. The track should be released on April 16th.

►►Performers/line-up list for Dream Concert 2010 revealed!
The performers line-up for the upcoming 16th Dream Concert was revealed earlier through Japanese online portals. Indeed, thanks to the Hallyu Fan Card, Japanese fans can already apply for the presale until April 14th, whereas the reservations will be open starting from mid-April in South Korea.
Related to 4Minute: [The information is still to be confirmed by PlayCube which has to reveal about the girls’ following activities but especially their tight schedule for May. 4Minute’s Japanese debut is set for May 1st (with the further release of the Muzik single Japanese ver. on May 5) and their Korean comeback was announced by newspapers for mid-May.]

►►4Minute’s fans get angry because CUBE Ent has been neglecting their idols
People are now blaming it partly on BEAST but hey, 4Minute has been promoting overseas continuously AND performing with Amerie so I don’t see why fans are getting that mad 
Various 4minute fan sites are up in arms over the lack of information regarding the band from their company, Cube Entertainment.
According to American fan site, 4minutes, the entertainment company did not reveal 4minute’s upcoming plans as promised in March. The news release was later reschedule for April 2nd, but nothing has materialized. They also blame Cube for not updating enough the official fancafe, and Cube did not deliver fan club goodies on time. Additionally, information and photos related to the girls’ latest official endorsement for Metacone are nowhere to be seen.
The fuss started back in late January when it was announced through digital news that not only Jiyoon’s solo single was in preparation but also that 4minute was working on a mini-album to be unleashed in March. While Hyuna’s “Change” was released and became a big success, Jiyoon’s solo hasn’t been mentioned once since the initial press release months ago. Things may have got even bigger this month with several online newspapers announcing the girl group’s comeback in mid-May.
Cube Entertainment’s silence over the girls’ plans has set off a firestorm among 4nia both in Korea and across the world.
However, fans have some things to look forward to: Metacone endorsement (MTV Metafriends), a song for the movie Personal Taste, as well as their Japanese debut.

►►The months of April-May: Expect the return of the girl groups craze!
Fan boys (and fan girls) get ready because during the months of April and May, you’re gonna witness the return of 2009 girl groups craze!
The domination of the girl groups as seen by SNSD, T-ara and KARA in February and March will continue. We recently see that After School is back with the new song ‘Bang!’, and Secret with song ‘Magic’ – much to the anticipation of fans.
In mid-April, we will be expecting a new album from SM Entertainment new girlgroup f(x). Later the month, we will also be seeing a new album from another girlgroup LPG. (don’t forget about 2NE1 too!)
And coming mid-May, we will also be seeing the comeback of girlgroups like Wonder Girls and 4Minute. It is known that 4Minute is currently working on their new album with the aim of a comeback album in May. While the Wonder Girls will also be having their comeback in Korea with new member Hae Lim. They have been away for some time with their promotions in the States. It has been known that their new song and choreography is completed.
Apart from that, we will be seeing the debut of new groups.
In mid-April, group SISTAR will debut with Bang ShiHyuk as their producer. An d in May 9-member girlgroup Nine Muses (나인뮤지스) will debut. The group will consists of Lee HyunJoo who came in #1 during the 2007 Asia Pacific Super Model Contest.

One netizen uploaded an ordering of SNSD members according to categories such as singing abilities, skin tone, height, popularity, etc which SNSD chuckled at because it turned out to not be too accurate.
In this ordering, Seohyun was picked as the member that “is a hidden jewel.” So let’s check out all of the hidden jewels, the maknaes, of the idol groups.
Rule #1: If the maknae is popular, everyone is popular.
Usually, the leaders of idol groups get popular first. The companies try to get the leaders’ faces known. That is why when the maknae becomes known, you know it’s a success. H.O.T used this tactic and to get their maknae Lee Jae Won known for his dancing and they became the nation’s idol group.
All the companies have been also sending the maknaes out for the variety programs. SNSD’s Seohyun showed off her variety program skills for the first time on We Got Married. It was as if SM Entertainment gave out their hidden card. The maknaes also start to get lots of CF deals after gaining popularity.
