On April 20th, singer Kim Tae Woo was a guest on Mnet Radio and stated that, “If idols say that they are not dating, it is 90% likely to be a lie.”
Kim Tae Woo was once a member of the hit boy band g.o.d. during the early turn of the millennium. While the group was wildly successful, it seems they all hid a few secrets from the public.
MC Kim Jin Pyo and Epik High’s Mithra Jin were discussing the particular meaning behind the music when Kim Tae Woo revealed, “g.o.d.’s Ordinary Day was a song that I could relate to with my girlfriend.”
At this surprising statement, Kim Jin Pyo asked whether or not Kim Tae Woo was dating at the time. His response was even more shocking when he revealed that all the members were in relationships as he said, “At the time, all of the g.o.d. members were dating. Probably 90% of the idols were in a relationship.”
Kim Tae Woo further dove into the subject saying that idols must deny dating no matter what and because of this, most idols end up dating one another. He also said that 90% of the current idols that deny being in relationships are lying and that they are probably just being very careful.

►►18 Korean artists to appear at the Showking M Concert in Thailand
Cable music channel Mnet will be hosting a free concert in Thailand next week starring over a dozen K-pop groups, according to a press release by the broadcaster on Thursday.
Mnet announced it will hold the “ShowKing M in Bangkok” at 7 p.m. on April 6 where a total of 18 different artists, including 2AM, Brown Eyed Girls, Cho Shin Sung, C.N BLUE, KARA, Kim Tae Woo, MBLAQ, SG Wannabe, Son Ho Young, T-ara and U-KISS, have been set to perform.
Boy band 2PM members Junsu and Wooyoung have been chosen as MCs for the event.
“Thailand is currently the advance guard for spreading Korean pop music,” said the show’s chief producer Kim Dong-joon. “Many Korean singers will be able to promote themsevles overseas from this performance and largely contribute in raising the popularity of the local pop music, the Korean Wave.“
Korean music industry officials also explained that there are many Korean singers who will “take advantage of such big, local music show to break into overseas markets.”
The free concert, which will take place at Thailand’s Rajamangala National Stadium, was organized by media business company AMADAS and will be broadcast jointly by Thai terrestrial network MCOT and Korea’s Mnet.
A press conference regarding the show will be held April 5 with the concert itself set to air on Mnet two weeks later.

►►SNSD’s Sunny reveals her fresh face on TV
Sunny doesn’t look that different 😉
On the latest episode of KBS Invincible Youth, G7’s first night together was revealed. During their first night, SNSD’s Sunny had to reveal her no makeup face because she had to wash her face before sleeping. Before washing her face, Sunny had something to say about Goo Hara of Kara’s fake eyelashes which she took out and left after washing her face. She said, “Who wears such long eyelashes!”
While Sunny was washing her face, Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha came up to her and said, “After this episode’s broadcast, the only results you’ll see from typing your name in the search tool will be ‘no makeup face.’” Sunny then whined replied, “I don’t want that. Please cut this part out of the episode.”
As soon as Kim Tae Woo saw Sunny’s face, he commented, “Who are you?” to which Sunny replied, “It’s Soon Gyu [Sunny’s name].” As Sunny’s face was revealed, they called her “baby Soon Gyu.”
After revealing her no makeup face, Sunny also helped Kim Tae Woo wash his hair. With soap bubbling on his hair, Kim Tae Woo asked everyone, “What hairstyle do you like?” Sunny replied back, “Beckham style,” then Kim Tae Woo shaped his hair like David Beckham.

►►T-ara’s Hyomin takes selca with Invincible Youth cast
T-ara’s Hyomin has recently posted selca shots of her and the other members of Invincible Youth on her mini-homepage.
Hyomin uploaded the pictures on the 21st in a photo-set titled “Youth”. The pictures have her flashing a peace sign with Kara’s Goo Hara, sticking out her tongue with SNSD’s Sunny and generally having an all around good time. Looks like the members of the show are having fun.

Congratulations!
The 15th will be a day to remember for 2PM, 4Minute, and Kim Tae Woo.
At 7 PM, the 5th ‘2010 Asia Model Awards’ was held in Seoul at olympic hall. That day, 2PM, along with Kim Taewoo and 4 Minute won the BBF Popular Artist award. They had stood on not as singers but as models.
Fans flocked to the red carpet event and gave birthday messages for 2PM’s Junsu’s birthday. Junsu replied with a smile in front of the photo wall. On top of this, Junsu had already been topping the search ranking charts with his ‘Kim Bo Peep’ incident. The 15th should definitely be a special day to remember for 2PM.

►►4Minute’s HyunA has #1 popularity among Korean military officials
After her Change “Luxury Abs” dance is recognized as the first dance trend of 2010, HyunA is popping her way to the top with recognition as the #1 female celeb among military officials.
HyunA, who made the first dance trend with the ‘pelvic dance’ for her solo song ‘Change’, had recently worked at KangWonDo with the army officials in the heavy snow together with the other G7 members on KBS Invincible Youth.
Kim TaeWoo had asked the army officials, “Are there photos of the G7 members in your lockers?” and HyunA was picked for #1 popularity amongst the officials.
The officials said, “HyunA look sexy when she dance”, “And she sings well” etc.
The G7 membera also did a popularity poll with 50 of the officials.
The show will air at 11.o5pm on 15th January.

This year’s MBC Gayo Daejun will take place at the MBC Dream Center on the 31st. The MC’s are Kim Gura, Lee Bo Young, and Shin Jung Hwan but what you should be excited about is the line up.
It’s definitely going to be hard to beat SBS Gayo Daejun’s line up but with the 2PM and SNSD joint stage, it might be possible.
2PM also is planning on having a dance battle with Park Jin Young which will be interesting since both of them are known to be excelling in dancing. 2PM’s Taecyeon will also be performing together with SNSD’s YoonA.
Jewelry will put on a memorable and touching performance with Park Jung Ah and Seo In Young. Other than Jewelry, other girl groups will perform to show their unique looks and this year’s hit songs.
Baek Ji Young will perform My Ear’s Candy with Lee Seung Gi instead of Taecyeon. Awkward Lee Seung Gi grinding with Baek Ji Young, interesting.

►►Idol group members come together for a new SBS variety show production :D
SBS has put a new large-scale variety show into production.
SBS announced on the 14th, “There will be a new game competition variety show called ‘Oh! Brothers‘ with 12 male and female celebrities divided into six teams, each with 2 people.” This show is not of the real variety format that has been popular lately; instead, it aims to remake the show X-Man that ended April 2007.
Kim Gook Jin is the main MC of the show. Newsen has said on December 7th, “He is a very good MC and interacts well with people and will be a perfect match for the show.”
Along with Kim Gook Jin are 6 other male guests who will MC (Nam Hee Suk, Yoo Se Yoon, Gang Ji Seop, Kim Tae Woo, Super Junior’s Leeteuk, and SHINee’s Minho). Girl celebrities on the show include ChaeYeon, Brown Eyed Girl Narsha, Kim Shin Young, SNSD’s Sooyoung, Kara’s Nicole, and 4Minute’s Hyuna.
100 non-celebrity individuals, divided in 5 groups of 20, will bet on the celebrity team they want to see live on. If the celebrity duo the team roots for loses, the team also gets eliminated. At the end, the team who hasn’t been eliminated wins and gets the prize.
The first recording will be on the afternoon of December 15 in Deung-chon dong, and the first broadcast will be on the 25th at 6:30 as a Christmas special.

►►Top Idols who have the Most Impact in KPop World in 2009
Results are not surprising at all lol
[TVReport reporter Hwang Inhye] The girl group SNSD (with Taeyeon, Sooyoung, Tiffany, Jessica, Yuri, Yoona, Hyoyeon, Sunny, and Seohyun) have been chosen by viewers as “The singers with the most impact in the pop world in 2009”.
SNSD, who has won the big Golden Disk award, also placed first on the December 11th episode of MBC’s “Section TV – Star Ranking Season 2” and were again proven to have dominated this year.
During the first half of the year, SNSD started the Gee syndrome. They led a huge skinny jeans trend among ladies in their teens and 20’s, and their “crab-leg dance,” “perfume dance,” and “Alphabet G dance” have all been redone in numerous parodies.
During the second half of the year, the girl group hit a home run with their second mini album, “Tell Me Your Wish.” While their competitor Wondergirls left for a while for the States, they were able to hold the title of the “National Girl Group.”

Isn’t he adorable? lol if only the Wonder Girls were the same…
Producer singer Park Jin Young (37) talks about the Wonder Girls members going into adolescence period.
He was on MBC FM4U ‘Kim BumSoo’s Dream Radio’ on 11th December when he said, “Like how people would normally not play (have fun) with their parents as much after they enters adolescence, it is the same case for the Wonder Girls, we don’t play around as much anymore.”
Also on the show, Park Jin Young sent out text messages to the singers under him the message ‘Who am I to you?’. And 2AM Jo Kwon answered ‘An existence close to god’, Kim TaeWoo replied ‘The father of my life’, Son HoYoung replied ‘My ideal type’. 2PM Nich Khun also gave a cute answer ‘The teacher who likes the rice cake I bought’.
Park Jin Young also revealed on the show, “I like to work with people whom I like rather than sings well.” And these people are G.O.D, Wonder Girls, 2AM and 2PM.

►►SM Artists snatched away all major awards from Bugs Music
The online music site Bugs announced the results from their online music awards. They held a poll starting on the 27th of November and kept it going for 20 days. The results are based only on the online voting and in total, 110,000 votes were cast.
There were 8 awards in total, including “Song of the Year,” “Pop Song of the Year,” “Hip Hop Song of the Year,” “Indie Song of the Year,” “Best New Artist,” “Best Girl Group,” and more.
For the girl group category, SNSD, KARA, and f(x) were up against each other but SNSD won in the end.
The “Song of the Year” went to Super Junior’s Sorry Sorry and second place went to Gee. 2PM took third place with Again & Again. 2009 late comer, Kim Tae Woo grabbed fourth place with Love Rain.
“Best New Artist” went to a SM Entertainment rookie, f(x). Though SME artists didn’t win the hip hop, indie or other awards, they sure snatched the big three.
