2010 is coming to a close in less than a month, and in Korea, the biggest award shows and festivals take place. In the past, some of the most memorable and greatest performances from popular K-Pop artists have happened on these shows. Last week, Mnet’s Asian Music Awards (MAMA) kicked off the season for award shows. Next is MBC’s 2010 Melon Music Awards, which will take place on December 15th at Kyunghee University in Seoul.
►►2AM’s SeulOng and Changmin are bipolar with women
On a recent broadcast of ‘Happy Together‘, 2AM members and Jeon Hyun Moo were asked, ‘Which 2AM member is the most different in front of girls?’ After the voting ended, Seulong received 3 votes and Changmin received 2 votes.
Jo Kwon expressed, ‘Even though Seulong is usually an attentive person, in front of girls, the look in his eyes is different. In particular, his eye-smile is very charming.‘ To demonstrate what Jo Kwon meant, Seulong showed off his eye-smile and captured the hearts of the audience.
On the other hand, Seulong voted for Changmin. Seulong revealed that Changmin is a ‘lacking man’ in front of girls. He said, ‘Changmin is very cold to girls, which makes them feel like it’s the first time they’ve been treated like this by a man.‘
Changmin objected, “After Seulong and IU sang a duet together, he doesn’t refer to her by her stage name anymore, but calls her ‘Ji Eun-ah‘,” revisiting the point that Seulong has a way with women.

►►Wonder Girls to reunite with JYP Family on Family Outing 2
Wonder Girls are returning to Korea to promote soon with their new upcoming album. While they’re back their own country, they’ll guest star on Family Outing 2!
Through this show, the girls will make their variety show comeback after a year and three months absence.
Their comeback is set for mid-May and on the 17th, the Girls will arrive in Korea from America. That’s just two days after their album release party, what a busy schedule!
As soon as they arrive, they’ll film the episode of Family Outing 2 until the 18th. Come on, let these girls sleep!
The Wonder Girls will be reuniting with 2PM’s Taecyeon and 2AM’s Jokwon which will create a family within a family.
One other highlight is that Kim Heechul, the newest member on the show, is known for having a crush on Wonder Girls’ Sohee so he’s probably thrilled about this news.
The episode will air in the beginning of June. On a different note, their album will be released on May 15th and their music video will be released in English, Chinese and Korea, just like the song.
This episode with Heechul and the Wonder Girls looks like being a must-watch!

►►JYP forgot to mention 2AM as one of his successes; makes Jokwon cry
2AM’s Jo Kwon confessed of a moment where he felt upset with his agency’s president, Park Jinyoung.
On the 22nd of April, KBS 2TV’s ‘Happy Together 3’ revealed an episode where Jo Kwon revealed that he felt upset because “Park Jinyoung never mentioned 2AM in his awards speech.”
Jo Kwon stated, “When Park Jinyoung won the award as a producer, the rest of the members and I were watching intently with our ears pointed towards the screen. However, he ended his speech with a note of thanks to the Wonder Girls and 2PM for helping him.”
He went on to state, “I was so upset that he never mentioned 2AM that I just went into my room and cried.”
Regarding this, Song Hobum also revealed a moment where he felt upset with his agency president, Park Jinyoung. Song Hobum stated, “Rain and Kim Taewoo said that they were going for an evaluation so I thought that my turn would be up soon. However, it wasn’t. I found out later that those two got a preferential favor.”

2AM revealed that after becoming more popular, their lunch money went up as well.
2AM’s Jo Kwon and Jinwoon were guests on the most recent episode of Happy Together 3. They were asked what things changed after becoming popular. Jo Kwon said that their lunch money went from 5000 WON to 10000 WON. For those of you guys who don’t know the Korean WON very well, that is a very low amount. If it wasn’t for the bad economy right now, that would translate to about going from $5 to $10. With the economy and currency system that we have now, it goes from $4.50 to $9.
►►2AM Jo Kwon, “Whenever I sing ballads, I will think of JYP”
2AM Jo Kwon reveals that he would think of Park JinYoung whenever he sings ballad.
Jo Kwon revealed that during the filming of ‘Happy Together 3′ on 22nd April relating to an incident when he was recording ‘This Song’.
He said, “Producer Park JinYoung went through word by word for the recording and it took 11 hours to record. When the recording was done I was waiting for a comment like ‘You worked hard’ but instead what came out from Park JinYoung’s mouth was ‘Now you know why you debuted late?’.” (ouch.)
Jo Kwon’s situation was confirmed by OneTwo Song HoBum who used to train under JYP. MC Yoo Jaeseok had suggested for Song HoBum to try recording just one verse of ‘This Song’ and Song HoBum’s reply was “Then it will take me 5 days to do so”. Jo Kwon also personally demostrated how the recording went that took him 11 hours to complete the recording.

Forbes Korea reveals the top 20 hardworking idols for 2009
Forbes Korea has released their yearly survey. This time they ranked the most hardworking idols from 2009-2010. After releasing his solo album and concerts and at the same time promoting with his group – Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon tops this year’s chart as the Most Hardworking Idol. Big Bang’s Daesung was also included in the ranking at #13 for his appearances on variety shows.
