►►Concert to watch for: Korean Cultural Festival @ The Phillipines
For Pinoy K-pop fans, November is the season to be jolly (and for those who aren’t in the Philippines, it’s the season to cry and dream that one day Kpop artists will come to their place too T.T).
To cap the year-long celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and the Philippines, the Korean Embassy will hold on November 19-27 the Korean Cultural Festival, which will let Filipinos have a taste of Korean food, dance, music, theater, and arts.
But the most-awaited event in the week-long festival is the free K-pop concert scheduled on November 27. It will feature popular Korean front acts like boyband SHINee, jazz band Winterplay, and energetic rap duo Mighty Mouth.
In an email message to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Blaise Regacho, Executive Assistant on Economic & Cultural Affairs for the Korean Embassy, said the concert was borne out of several petitions by avid K-pop fans in the country, to bring Korean stars to the Philippines. Shinee was the first group they were able to get, she added. (Click here to read related story)
Composed of five the boys Onew, Taemin, Jong-Hyun, Key, and Min-Ho, Shinee is known for the group’s danceable contemporary R&B songs. Since their debut last year, they have won music awards including Best Newcomer Artist in the 18th Seoul Music Awards. Shinee’s fashion style of high-top sneakers, skinny jeans, and colorful sweaters created the “Shinee Trend” that’s popular among college youth in Korea.

4minute, KARA, Epik High, Kim Tae Woo, IU, T-ara, 2AM, Mighty Mouth and many other celebrities are wondering who this new artist may be. Check out this mysterious video below:
As you may have guessed, RUN (런, also known as: E-Bul, Song Won-keun) is an up & coming artist from LOEN Entertainment ready to hit the Korean music scene very soon. But unlike other rookies, this guy already has his own celebrity fanbase – After School & Baek Ji Young gush about his powerful vocals, sexy & handsome appearance and great dancing skills. Park Myung Soo even goes far enough to say that this guy is “unbelievable”.
“RUN oppa is someone who that I like who has helped me in the past,” IU (a fellow artist of LOEN) expresses. Actress Kim Mi Yeon predicts, “I think you will like RUN a lot.” To the new artist, Kim Tae Hyun encourages, “I hope you go straight up like your name (I hope you do great).” The video then wraps up with the blessings & a cheer of “fighting!” from artists & celebrities all around, including Kim Yong Man Park Jung Ah (Jewelry) Kim Na Gyung, Yoo Chae Young, Oh Jong Hyuk, Kim Mi Yeon and Joo Young Hoon.

A mini concert will be held before the airing of the new SBS Wed-Thu drama “You’re Beautiful”.
This will be the first performance of the band “A.N.JELL“, consisting of the 4 main casts – Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, Lee Hongki, and Jung Yonghwa of the drama “You’re Beautiful“, which is stated to air on 7th October.
The mini concert will be held at Melon-Ax Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Seoul on 20th September at 5pm. It will last for 2 hours. Besides A.N.JELL, other performing artistes include FT Island, Mighty Mouth, and 4minute.
Scenes of “A.N.JELL” in concert will be used in the drama and for this purpose, there is a surprise event in which netizens are invited to be the audience for this concert. Tickets are open for application currently at the official homepage of “You’re Beautiful“. There is a total of 300 tickets and 2 tickets will be given per successful application. Application closing dateline is 16th September.
“You’re Beautiful” will start airing on 7th October, taking over the slot of “Swallow The Sun“.
