►►Rookie Watch: Get to know the new boy group Code V!

Code V (pronounce “Code Five“) is a 5-member group composed of leader Uhm Tae Ming, Kim Sol, Seo Jae Won, Kim Sun Hee and Nam Sang Woo. They’re not exactly a “new” band actually as they first debuted in 2007 under the name Bless but never experienced success. Now they’re awarded a second chance to make it big by starting afresh from May 13th on with the release of their album “Addiction”.

We wish them lots of luck this time, especially for debuting again on the very day of Super Junior‘s much anticipated comeback.

Two new male groups are ready to hit up the Kpop train!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Male idol group Blackbeat lead vocalists Lee SoMin and Jang JinYoung are back as The Black.

The group debuted under SM Entertainment back in 2002, even though the group had spent 5 years to prepare for their debut, they only released 1 album ‘#2002- The First Performance #001(In The Sky)’. And with members getting injured and other undesirable news released, the group was slowly forgotten.

►►Rookie Watch: 5-member Co-ed group Sponge Band is coming!

no offense but is it just me or are the guys the only hot ones? Just look. I’m not that biased. But LOL oh LOL at the name…Sponge Bob-related much? kk

A hot new 5-member band called Sponge Band will be debuting soon. And with a name like that, who could possibly hate them?

With all due seriousness though, they sound really good – kind of an F.T Island vibe, but what’s even more interesting is that they’re a co-ed group! There’s definitely a lack of co-ed groups in k-pop lately, so I’m pretty excited about this one.

Sponge Band’s first mini-album will be titled, “The Beginning” and it will drop on February 19th. The members are, Oh Song (오송), Ga On (가온), K# (키샵), Soo Yeon (수연) and Chung Ah (청아).

Check out the three teasers:

►►[VID] Dae Guk Nam Ah (D-NA) 2nd Individual Teaser: Garam/Hyunchul

Inspired by DBSK’s Yunho? haha niiiiice.

Translation:

I began dancing because of Yunho [of TVXQ]. I saw Yunho sunbae on a television program breakdancing one time. I thought it was really cool that I wanted to do it too. I went in front of the veranda of my house and tried to copy his breakdancing, but my mom saw me and asked what I was doing in the middle of the night.

My parents supported me dancing when they realized how hard I worked. My dad especially made me a place where I can practice my dancing. I ate, slept and practically lived in that place.

[…]

The members of my group are amazing; I’ve never met people like them before. They’re like the celebrities I’ve seen on TV. They look good, they have skills, and there’s nothing they can’t do. Look forward to our group!

►►ZE:A is boy’s generation!

9 Members wanting to become the REAL boy’s generation… lol ;p

ZE:A (Children of Empire) finally took off the veil and started their countdown to debut. Leader Moon JunYoung, Kevin, Hwang KwangHee, Im SiWan, Kim TaeHun, Jung HeeChul, Ha MinWoo, Park HyungSik and Kim DongJoon are also called “Male Girls’ Generation” (So Nyeo Shi Dae) because of the 9-members.

Their debut song “Mazeltov” is the first step in the world of popular songs. “We were trainees for three years” they said proudly, saying it isn’t much to praise about. In leader’s Moon JunYoung case, he’s been a trainee for 5 years before he finally had a chance to debut.

“I couldn’t see it at that time, so I was a bit uneasy. I started at a young age and it was a lot harder than I had thought. But it was the path I chose, so I endured it.” (Moon JunYoung)

Children of Empire belongs to the Star Empire, a company known for Jewelry and V.O.S. ZE:A’s was the first idol group idea in Star Empire’s history. Moon JunYoung and Hwang KwangHee first met through a contest. One of them was offered an audition, so the two of them were separated by fate. JunYoung passed, but Kwanghee had to try again.
After many ups and downs, the two boys both joined Star Empire by the end of 2006.

Rapper Kim TaeHun is JunYoung and KwangHee’s friend who was introduced by them, and Kevin from Australia, who was in the same company as Russel Crowe, joined them. Ha MinWoo was the leader of a famous dance team in Busan and Kim DongJoon and Im SiWan were selected through “ChinChin Music Festival”.

►►Child of Empire is NOT “Ze:A”, but rather “Children of Empire” [members info added!]

Allkpop failed again…what can I say? =.=;

http://pics.livejournal.com/carmendove/pic/0055beab

Children of Empire (yes that’s their name) will be releasing their MV teaser on Jan 5th so get to know more about the members before their long awaited debut. Some people expressed interest in learning more about them so I compiled together information and pictures from various sources into a helpful guide below.

But first, I’d like to clear up the FALSE claim made by allkpop that they changed their name to ZE:A. According to their international forum (Royal 9), ZE:A comes from JeA (제의) which is an abbreviation for Jegugui Aideul (제국의 아이들) or “Children of Empire”. So ZE:A is only a shorthand. Their name is still “Children of Empire” like it says on the album cover. Also, their label obviously realized “Child Of Empire” was grammatically incorrect which is why they’re now using “Children”.

Their new name is now ZE:A. The group has also revealed their official album jacket photo. Their album, “Nativity” is coming out on January 7th, one day before F.cuz‘s debut on January 8.

►►Rookie Watch: upcoming new girl group…the Naked Girls

Singer Ivy is gonna give ya’ll a pound in the head if you just wanna become singers by being whores =.=;

https://i0.wp.com/i49.tinypic.com/2njm5pl.jpg

Although we’ve been bombarded with girl groups this year, this definitely doesn’t sound like your average rookie group.

It turns out that four of the anchorwomen who worked for the short-lived news channel, Naked News Korea, have been recruited to form a girl group called the Naked Girls. Predictably, these girls will only be suitable to the 18+ age group, since their performances are expected to be highly provocative. The Naked Girls will reportedly start a generation of a brand new genre of stages called “sexycal” – a combination word of “sexy” and “musical.”

A representative stated on the 22nd,
“We have gathered Minkyung, Jaekyung, Hyeji and Taehee to form this girl group, and will officially debut under the name Naked Girls in January next year. Their performances will be composed of inappropriate songs and choreography, definitely not suitable for youth. The girls’ activities will be focused more on musicals rather than national television.”
