On the Strong Heart episode of March 23rd, KARA’s Nicole revealed the story of how a male idol came up to her during “Mister” promotions and told her to eat less (or diet). Turns out this idol is none other than SHINee’s Key!
From a person who actually knows Korean and what they’re talking about:
haha so watching this cut about Nicole she mentions her “best friend” that’s a singer and how he was a reason for her diet and weight loss. Apparently this “best friend” is a very blunt and honest person and one day he told her “hey when are you going to lose weight?” and Nicole said ” I’ll work that out on my own, you can just look at my face!!” but she said she was a little hurt by what he said so she worked super hard to lose weight.
Super Junior’s Leeteuk mentioned that maybe she has feeling for him since she wanted to show him up and look good and it got everyone curious as to who it was so Kang Ho Dong asked if he was tall or short (height in korean is 키=key) and then Kim Joong Kook said “or is it Key fromS hinee?” and Nicole busted out laughing. haha and then revealed it was key 🙂

YG Entertainment’s idol groups Big Bang and 2NE1 will be on MBC’s music program Music Core.
Their future appearance on the show is attracting attention because until now, MBC and YG have not been on particularly good terms.
A “Music Core” publicist announced on the 10th, “Big Bang’s Daesung and Seungri as well as 2NE1 will be featured in the 200th special episode.”
Big Bang’s Daesung and Seungri will appear on the show for the first time in 11 months since they stopped MCing for Music Core. They will go back to their MC spots for this particular episode. 2NE1 plans to go on Music Core for the first time since debut, singing their single “Fire.”
Big Bang, 2NE1, and other YG Entertainment artists did not appear on Music Core for about 11 months. 2NE1’s appearance on MBC’s variety show “Danbi” started the reconciliation between the two parties.
YG’s head Yang Hyun Suk has explained before, “There are a lot of rumors about why we don’t appear on certain TV stations. YG Entertainment’s publicity outlook is appearing only once per week on broadcast. It has nothing to do with certain broadcasting companies.”
But YG artists still did not appear on MBC shows and the rumors still continued. However, with this new announcement that Big Bang’s Daesung and Seungri and 2NE1 will appear on Music Core, people are anticipating MBC and YG to fully reconcile.
On another note, the 200th special episode which will be February 20th, will also feature 2PM, SNSD, After School, Brown Eyed Girls, Lee Eunmi, Baek Ji Young, Kim Jong Gook, SHINee, C.N.Blue, and more artists all singing their debut singles.

During the latest filming of KBS 2TV’s Sweet Night, Kim Jong Kook finally revealed details of the Lee Hyori scandal.
“The truth is, during the Family Outing days, we had the most awkward relationship. I don’t even know her cellphone number.”
Kim Jong Kook added:
“One time there was a situation where Lee Hyori was in my car for 15 minutes, but that 15 minutes felt like 15 years. We almost died because it was so awkward. Eventually, because it was so awkward, Hyori couldn’t take it and got out.”

On the 27th Kim Jong Kook released a new album after more than 1 year making his comeback to the music world. The ‘box office guarantee’ Kim Jong Kook threw in his ticket with the title song ‘This Is The Person’ officially entering the music race in February.
Recently at an interview with Newsen Kim Jong Kook said “In ‘Family Outing’ I have a bickering relationship with Lee Hyo Ri but actually we have a very close relationship.” He also said “We even had a conversation about the new album. We didn’t want a confrontation it is our wish that everything turned out well.”
He also said “Lee Hyo Ri thought that she’d release her album first but I ended up releasing first.” “While doing our (music) activities I think we could give strength/ big support to one another. Lee Hyo Ri is a female singer and our genres don’t overlap so because of that it’s hard for us to have a competition. We don’t bicker like in ‘Family Outing’” he said with a laugh.
About SNSD he said “They are really cute and nice kids” “Although there’s part of me that feels burdened with the competition but since that’s how it is I learned not to think much of it.”
Also he said “Me, I play the role of a singer that tells stories to people. That’s what I think as important and that’s the reason why I sing songs.” “I want the public to hear my songs – that’d be my biggest stage.”
After 1 year 3 months, Kim Jong Kook’s current new album released on the 27th is 2010’s music world big title records that is anticipated and looked forward to by fans and people in the music industry. The title song of the 6th album is ‘This Is The Person’.

And I was wondering where the heck has this guy been up too 😀
Singer Kim Jong Kook will be making his comeback next week with the unveiling of his upcoming album’s title track “Don’t Be Good To Me”.
The song will once again be a ballad and tackle the sorrows of love with a soft melody and the blending of his vocals and a melancholy piano sound. This will be his first album in over a year since his last one in the fall/winter of 2008. Kim Jong Kook commented on the song saying, “The songs feels like an outfit that fits me well.”
“Don’t Be Good To Me” will be released online on the 15th whereas his full 6th album drops on the 27th. But before this, Kim Jong Kook will be wrapping up filming for Happy Sunday and Family Outing on the 11th and 12th.
