The interviewer has met Jung Yong Hwa two weeks after the drama You’re Beautiful has ended. He commented regarding the drama, “Honestly I can feel the popularity of the drama. I am happy that people are starting to recognize me.” Jung Yong Hwa told that his management company confiscated even his cell phone and therefore only way he can communicate with outside world is through internet. He was pleased to see his fan website being created and felt “I became a little popular now”.
He is more busier than ever, going back and forth to his practice room, audio room, and sleeping place. And most importantly, he feels that he hasn’t shown everything that he wants to show and he has a long way to do so.
“From early years, music was my dream.” So Jung Yong Hwa decided that music will be his career in his high school year and went to Japan to debut from an indie band. When he was beginning to feel comfortable in Japan, he came back to Korea and joined You’re Beautiful team.
“I need to reach beyond ShinWoo Hyung-Nim (his character’s name in You’re Beautiful)’. I was lucky to meet him but I need to show myself in variety shows and as a musician. There is a lot to show.” Jung Yong Hwa will join MBC’s variety show Hunters in December and is scheduled to release an album with his band C.N.Blue on next January.

After filing a lawsuit against the actor because of broken promises of marriage, Lee Byung-heon’s ex-girlfriend, Kwon Mi-yeon, has posted pictures in order to prove their relationship.
Obviously, there was a lot of backlash against the girl after she filed the lawsuit on December 8th, and then accusing Lee Byung-heon of illegal gambling on December 10th. So, Ms. Kwon decided to prove the validity of their relationship by posting candid pictures (above and at the end) of her and “G.I. Joe” actor.

Leader still continued to shine..just not in Korea.
There hasn’t been much news about JaeBum after the myspace incident. However, he surprised the Hottest when he showed up in a b-boy competition that was held in Seattle. He made it even better by winning first place.
JaeBum’s b-boy team, A.O.M (Art of Movement) competed in the Winter Night competition. His team wore black shirts with their team name in pink. The shirt was rumored to be made and sent from JaeBum’s fans.
In the video released, JaeBum showed off his b-boying skills and fans were able to hear his voice and laugh throughout the battle.

SS501 Kim KyuJong revealed that he wanted to quit from the team before.
Kim KyuJong said in SBS ‘Intimate Note 2’ broadcasted on 11-Dec where SS501 and Kara from the same management company both appeared in, confessing frankly that he ever wanted to quit from the group prior to their debut.
Kim KyuJong has been chosen as the most cautious member among the 10 of them. Park JungMin started the topic “He was somewhat lagging behind when compared to the members, this friend wanted to quit and cried.”

Representatives for actor So Ji-sub and actress Han Ji-min over the weekend flatly denied rumors that the two stars will soon tie the knot.
So’s agency 51K and Han’s agency Ava Entertainment called the rumors “groundless” on Saturday, playing down growing speculation that the co-stars of SBS TV series “Cain and Abel” were planning to get married.
The rumor had circulated amongst the financial circle on Friday, along with talk that a statement announcing their marriage would be issued the following day.
Reports in August said So and Han were dating but both sides have also denied being in a romantic relationship.
Han, 27, appeared in various commercials and music videos before gaining recognition in hit TV series “All In” and “Jewel in the Palace” in 2003.
So, 32, is currently one of the most popular actors in Korea who has appeared in numerous TV dramas and movies since his debut in 1995. He became a household name in Asia with the back-to-back success of “Something Happened in Bali” and “I’m Sorry, I Love You” in 2004.

►►BEAST’s DooJoon is heading to Sri Lanka to aid refugee camps

As the first program from Korea to attempt this, the MBC ‘Sunday Sunday Night’ DanBi team will head to Sri Lanka, which ended its 26 year civil war earlier this year, and aid refugee camps.
During a phone call with Money Today Star News on the 14th, ‘Sunday Sunday Night’ Kim Young Hee PD said, “It is rare that one program holds negotiations with a nation’s government. But the Sri Lankan government has understood the ‘DanBi’ team’s good intentions, and it expressed its approval of us filming refugee camps which are hard for even war reporters to film.”
Kim PD said, “We’ll leave three weeks after the negotiations are finished” and also revealed, “This time, Nam Sang Mi will be going with us.”
He continued, “As we look around at the ravages of war, to the young children who have become child soldiers, we want to give them pencils and expose them to hopes and dreams. Of course we’ll take supplies for the people of these refugee camps, and we’ll most likely also take counselors to help deal with the mental suffering as well.”
The ‘DanBi’ team impressed people with their episodes on the 6th and 13th which showed them digging a well for people in Zambia who suffer from a lack of clean water. ON the ‘DanBi’ team, Kim Yong Man, Tak Jaehoon, An Youngmi, Kim Hyunchul, and BEAST’s Yoon Doojoon are the permanent MCs, and they are receiving attention for taking on projects which take them even outside the nation to find places which need their help.

“You’re Beautiful” season 2 is likely to NOT going to happen?
Although there are a lot of requests for YAB season 2, the Hog sisters said “It is hard to have season 2 in place since you need the old cast, director, a production company and a broadcaster to commit. These things are not easily done.”
According to the Hong sisters “We are escaping from You’re Beautiful world to another world like Shin Hye. If we dwell into the YAB vibe for too long, it is hard to concentrate on our work. It is not that we are trying hard to forget, but we are preparing ourselves to create a more exciting world”.
The Hong sisters also mentioned about their next project. It tookthem 1.5 years from Hong Gil Dong to YAB. At the moment, they are working on the script titled “My girlfriend is a nine-tailed fox“. They have finished the outline of the script and characters’ relationship. The drama is scheduled to premiere in summer 2010.

After School’s UEE told what happened during her commericial filming with SS501 leader and actor Kim Hyun-Joong. In KBS variety show Champagne – celebrity crush worldcup, she told that she had filmed a commericial with Kim Hyun-Joong where they said hello and started running with holding hands.
She said, “Kim Hyun Joong was famous for not speaking much but he didn’t speak a word to me. It was awkward. Soon after, I had to film a commericial with Lee Min Ho on the same spot. I didn’t say a word to him because I was being used to Kim Hyun Joong. Lee Min Ho tried to start a conversation but I didn’t response. I would like to apologize for that incident.”

►►JYP artists battle it out against YG artists on Family Outing!
JYP, otherwise known as Park Jin Young, JY Park and “rice cake gorrilla”, confessed that he had put his artists up against Yang Hyuk Suk (YG)’s before. This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard JYP talk about his rivalry with fellow entertainment companies – recently on Golden Fishery, JYP was open about wanting to beat SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment as well.
On a episode of SBS Family Outing, which was aired on the 13th, JYP and Seo In Young appeared as the special guests on the variety program. As we reported earlier, Big Bang’s Daesung even “auditioned” for JYP Entertainment on this episode.
During preparations for dinner, JYP revealed, “Yang Hyun Suk (YG) and I (JYP) would always brag that the artists from our own company were cooler. We decided to settle the argument by holding a battle between them.”
“At the time, I was still training Rain / Bi, and Hyun Suk hyung was in charge of Se7en. Although Se7en and Bi shared a hoobae – sunbae relationship, they faced off against each other in a dance battle nonetheless.”
Four years later, there was another JYP vs. YG showdown–this time, against 2PM and Big Bang. JYP stated, “2PM appeared at Hyun Suk hyung’s office and battled it out with Big Bang in a dance.”
When asked who the winners of both battles were, JYP replied ambiguously, “Hyun Suk hyung and I know who won in our minds.” Of course the Family members were burrowing with curiosity to know who emerged victorious from both battles so they questioned him again. This time, JYP gave a more direct answer, “The winner of the battle between Bi and Se7en was Bi, most likely because Se7en was 3 years younger and Bi was more prepared. Likewise, the winner of the battle between 2PM and Big Bang was Big Bang because they prepared more.”

It just gets more and more ridiculous what these pitiful fans do to themselves to get their stars’ attention =.=;
First there was 2PM’s Taecyeon, then it was MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, and now FT Island’s front man Lee Hongki.
The Korean pop scene may be one that is flooded with popular trends and whatnot, but even this bloody fan letter trend is something fans should stray away from. While this Primadonna did not hit the same extremes as the previous two fans, the thought of using blood to signify their love and appreciation for an idol is still quite appalling, wouldn’t you agree? I thought we established this before, but I guess some fans just don’t care. Let’s just hope there won’t be any future cases of fan madness to keep this trend going.
This fan in particular had cut their finger and decided to write a letter with their blood rather than put on a band aid like any other person. The letter stated, “Lee Hongki, you know that I love you right?” This may be the third time I’ve witnessed fandom at its craziest, but I still ask the simple question every time: “Why?” Check out the images below.

►►JYP revealed why he wants to work with Big Bang’s Taeyang
Looks like JYP has a thing for YG artists, especially Big Bang lol. He revealed before that he wanted to produce Daesung too!
Recently, JYP was on “Come 2 Play” promoting his new song and he was asked to list “Artists he would like to produce for” – Taeyang was his NO.2 choice of artists he’d like to work with.
He praised Taeyang, saying ”He dances really great and plays with the rhythm. TaeYang can express in his dance the feel that is uniquely black.”
JYP was very impressed with Taeyang in his “Where U At” music video as well.

Korea’s finest proved to be really the finest!
On the December 13th episode of TBS CDTV (Count Down TV), the program put a ranking for 2009’s Top 10 Breakthrough Artists in Japan and two Korean groups were on the list. Coming in at 5th place was Big Bang, and coming in at the top spot was none other than TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki.

►►Best Artists Of The Year 2009 – as chosen by Mnet
2NE1 is chosen as The Year’s Best Artiste during the 1st year of their debut.
Music portal site Mnet collated its own music charts from 1st January till 10th December of this year and announced 2NE1 as the Best Artiste Of The Year. 2NE1 has gained great popularity in the first year of their debut, going up to #1 in both artist and album category.
Their hits include ‘Lollipop’ released in April before debut, and after debut there were ‘Fire’, ‘I Don’t Care’ and ‘In The Club’ etc. And apart from that, the members also have their special solo hits like Sandara Park with ‘Kiss’, Park Bom with ‘You And I’, CL and MinJi with ‘Please Don’t Go’. The members have also done their unique solo activities.
