The 2009 MTV Style Gala was held at the Shanghai Grand Stage on the December 2nd, 7pm. South Korea’s popular idol group received the “Best Asia Artist Of The Year” award that night, below is the transcript of interview at backstage.
Host: Lets welcome the Wonder Girls to our backstage interview room.
Wonder Girls: Firstly, we felt very honored, thank you everyone. We are happy & honored to be able to receive this award today.
Host: As we all know, the Wonder Girls held a concert in Shanghai, how was it?
Wonder Girls: Yesterday, the concert was a success, the unforgettable part was, when closing to the end of the concert, all of the fans stood up & sang along & dance along with us.
Question (from reporter): Have you ever thought that you would be so popular?
Wonder Girls: We had never expected to be so popular, we’re happy to have so many people liking our song “Nobody”, we’ll workeven harder from now on.

Dressing up celebrities in unusual fashion is an amusing way to see the friendly side of celebrities.
It has become almost procedural that they show this kind of image at least once on variety shows.
It has been greatly popular ever since.
This is no exception for girl groups. They show off their sexy image on stage,
but the innocent girls cannot escape from the reality of the comic ‘dressing up.’
Starting with facial accessories, they continue to ruin their image with wigs and even impersonations.
Some of these gags are so unimaginable, that we applaud at their effort.
The most popular girl groups of this era have shown us their daring image ruination.
Contrasting to their appearance, seeing their carefree attitude is a refreshing charm.
We observed as the girl groups they threw away their dignity. They were either confident or determined.

And we’re back again to the “Fire” days 😀
2NE1 will be making a special appearance in the upcoming movie “Girlfriends,” a romantic comedy about three women (played by Kang Hye Jung, Han Chae Young, and Heo Yi Jae) who fall in love with the same man (played by Bae Soo Bin), but grow closer with each other in the process.
2NE1 willingly agreed to play the cameo role in “Girlfriends” to show support for their fellow YG family members, Kang Hye Jung and Heo Yi Jae. Clad in their Fire outfits and hairstyle, 2NE1 appears in the movie as guests for an extravagant party that Jin (played by Han Chae Yeong) plans.
The studio was filled with excitement as actors and actresses alike looked forward to meeting the popular female idol group, even asking them for their autographs.
2NE1 expressed, “Although we are already close with one another, we will pretend to be even closer on screen. We usually go overboard with our acting.”
►►Who ‘dies’ the best way in 2PM?
Well this is interesting LOL
2PM members are dying.
In 2PM’s ‘1:59’ album, the song ‘Heartbeat’ performances have been getting much interest from netizens taking turns dying in creative ways.
In 2PM’s last part of the performance, the 6 members take turns with acrobatic performances. As the heartbeat stops, the members fall or do a back flip and stir up the stage, getting a hot response from the veiwers.
Junsu, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Chansung and Junho have already shown theirs and only Nickhun is left. People are anticipating whether he will show a death.
Especially, Taecyeon on the 28th, on Inkigayo ripped off his clothes and got the name “Jjit (rip) Taec Yeon.” Through this performance, we got to see his luxury abs.

SS501 Heo YeongSaeng reveals that he has “lost” Dong Bang Shin Ki member Hero JaeJoong to leader member Kim HyunJoong.
He said during his appearance on MBC Golden Fishery Radio Star on 2nd December, “I introduced Hero JaeJoong to Kim HyunJoong, but after that he was more close to JaeJoong than me.”
During the show Yoon JongShin has talked about rumours of idols, “There was talk that HyunJoong “robbed” Hero JaeJoong from you, the 2 of you were close before.” and YeongSaeng said, “We were close when we were SM trainees.”
He added, “We were all close and I introduced him to KyuJong and HyunJoong. But he was closer to him than me.” and he gives out a sigh, causing laughter in the studio.

►►JYP, “2AM and JOO will come back with new albums early next year”
It’s been long since Joo has been in the kpop scene…
Group 2AM and singer JOO will have their comeback early next year. Singer producer Park JinYoung wrote on JYP Entertainment’s official homepage on 2nd December talking about his own singer comeback as well as this piece of news.
He revealed that he is working on 2AM and JOO’s album currently. He said, “Early next year, 2AM and JOO whom everyone is waiting for will release their albums.”
He added, “Previously many thought that 2AM’s music style was a little monotonous, I’m working on this with the other producers currently and I hope that everyone will be a little more patient about their album. It will be a really satisfactory album since there are composers who are better than me working on the album.”
“As for JOO, even though she released an album a year back, due to her personal request for more training, the album is delayed. She has been training with the other trainee the past year. You will be shocked to hear her vocals capabilities.”
Meanwhile, Park Jin Young releases his new album on 1st December titled ‘Sad Freedom’ and is currently promoting the title song ‘No Love No More’.

SNSD Jessica revealed on KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together” that when she sleeps she practically hibernates saying, “My fellow members have once grabbed and thrown me before. I was so deep in sleep that nothing would wake me up and so they resorted to throwing me.” She also added, “Even that isn’t enough to wake me up. If I sleep, 12 hours is the norm and I’ve slept beyond that too.“
Not only is she quite the sleepyhead but she also revealed that she frequently worries the group too. “They once filed a missing report because of me. I was just at the salon getting my hair done and preparing my schedule but my manager and the other members looked for me for 2 hours.“
The episode will also feature singer PSY and is scheduled to air on December 3rd.

►►Mblaq to make another debut in Japan

MBLAQ is gearing up for their debut in Japan, according to their agency on Wednesday.
The group will be performing as guests at their producer Rain’s fan meeting, which will be held at Tokyo’s International Forum on December 6, J. Tune Entertainment announced in a press release.
At the event, celebrating the opening of Rain’s official Japanese website, the five-member boy band will be performing several songs from their debut album “Just BLAQ”, including a Japanese version of their debut single “Oh Yeah”.
In accordance with their visit to the country, music channel M.net Japan is planning to produce a special feature documentary on the idol group, selecting them as the first artists to star in their “2010 K-POP Star” series. The segment, set to air next January, will follow the group around for four days and shoot their experience into Japanese culture and traditions.
MBLAQ, who debuted two months ago, was created and trained by Asian superstar Rain for two years. They are the first group that Rain is introducing to the public since he turned producer.
Two of the members were recently diagnosed with the influenza virus but the group is planning to re-start their activities as a group in Japan over the weekend.

It was reported that on the day when Goo Hye Sun visited the hospital, it was raining heavily. Although there were many difficulties, it does not stop YG staff and her in coming to the hospital and participating in their volunteer activities. Each volunteer was matched to a child in helping them during their treatment. Like other volunteers, Goo Hye Sun was also assigned to a child and did her best in her volunteer activities.

Hip hop producer singer MC HanSai (MC한새) reveals upcoming female group Nia, who are also called the ‘2nd Brown Eyed Girls’.
MC HanSai’s agency BCR Media said on the 2nd, “MC HanSai is the main producer for Nia’s new single album.”
The group gained much attention in the indie scene earlier this year in April when they released their single ‘My Everything’ and was promoting in the HongDae region. They were also called the ‘2nd Brown Eyed Girls‘.

SM Entertainment’s publicist told Newsen through a phone interview on December 2nd, “On the 1st, a hospital exam has deemed Taemin cured from swine flu.” He will start promotions again on the 3rd.
After having a slight fever on the 25th, he was rushed to the hospital and was diagnosed with swine flu on the 26th.

SNSD, the nine member girl group has broke through the 200,000 mark for total sales in 2009.
According to the music sales site Hanteo.com, SNSD has sold 201,386 copies of their total five albums in the period of January 1st to November 30th of 2009.
The second mini album ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ has sold approximately 85,000 copies,the first mini album ‘Gee’ has sold approximately 81,500 copies, their first album ‘Girls’ Generation’ sold 13,500 copies, their ‘Baby Baby’ repackage has sold 12,000 copies and their 2007 summer hit debut single ‘Into The New World’ has sold 9,500; totalling to 200,000 copies of their albums sold in 2009.
SNSD took 2nd place for most albums sold in 2009. First place went to none other than the 43 album released, 1992 debuted Seo TaeJi. He sold 226,924 albums this year.
2NE1 took first place for most sales of one album in the female artist category. According to Hanteo they sold 88,970 copies of ‘I Don’t Care’ until late November this year. Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon took first place for most sales of one album with 127,186 copies of ‘Heartbreaker.’
