►►Miss A’s Min shocks netizens by putting on…pants

On the latest episode of “100 Points of out 100”Miss A’s Min was to act out a dancing scene from the musical, “Fame“. Since she was unable to carry out the performance in her short mini skirt, the staff gave her a pair of gray sweatpants to wear. Now normally, you’d expect the girl to walk off the set for a few minutes to don them in privacy, but Min? Min chose to step into the sweatpants right then and there, causing the rest of her castmates to shout with embarrassment and immediately shield their eyes. Park Kyung Lim even cried out in shock, “Excuse me Min-ssi, but what are you doing?!”

Hilariously, it seemed to be the men who were more flustered about the situation, as they asked, “Are we meant to close our eyes for this?”, to which Min innocently responded, “Can’t I wear this here?”

Although the cast was able to either close their eyes or look away, the cameramen still had to film her getting dressed – the knowledge of which made the cast turn bright red with embarrassment.

Considering how Min was trained for eight years in the States, it’s no surprise that she’s got more of a liberal and spunky attitude than her peers.

►►SM Ent lawsuit day 1: “The way we treat DBSK is not as bad as others”

TVXQ 3 Members “The unfairness of the contract is grave” vs SM “The way we treat TVXQ is not bad compared to other agencies”

Three members of TVXQ (Xiah Junsu, YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun) and SM Entertainment had their first hearing today regarding an objection to the verdict on a contract suspension injunction that was made last year, and were unsuccessful in closing the gap between their conflicting stances.

The legal representatives of the three members of TVXQ and SM met at the Seoul District Courts at 5 p.m. on the 7th to state their stances on the lawsuit made by SM Entertainment regarding an objection to the contract suspension injunction verdict.

This hearing was held after SM filed for the lawsuit on April 12th as an objection to the partial acceptance verdict made by the Courts last year.

At the hearing, SM’s representative stated, “Compared to other agencies in Korea, TVXQ’s income division is not unfair,” and emphasized that TVXQ’s income division was not a pressing issue in the exclusive contract.

The representative also strongly questioned the three members’ action of signing a separate contract with their Japanese agency AVEX although only the contract suspension injunction, not the actual lawsuit, had been partially accepted by the Courts.

On the other hand, the three members’ representative stated, “The length and the income division section of the exclusive contract between SM and TVXQ is so unfair that the situation is very grave.”

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Leader of SS501, Kim Hyun Joong is currently under a stressful dilemma with the end of his contract quickly approaching.

Kim Hyun Joong’s contract with DSP Entertainment will officially end on June 8th. There are rumors that he will separate from the other SS501 members and pursue an acting career. ►►Is JYPE aware of Wonder Girls’ new ‘humilation’ in America?

A “Buy Rice, get free Wonder Girls album” was spotted by hawkeyed netizens for a promotional event at a Korean supermarket with locations in New York and New Jersey. Has JYP gone to new lows by promoting the girls this way?

An article in the Korean press is calling this the “Wonder Girls humilation in America”.

However, a representative of the supermarket stated they want the Wonder Girls to succeed in America by giving out the album that’s difficult to acquire there.

So the next time you dip your chopsticks in Kyonggi Rice, think Wondergirls.

Wonder Girls will be coming out with a new album in May 2010.

►►Half of Lee Hyori’s ‘H-Logic’ songs face plagiarism accusations

This is some serious business Kpop diva Hyori is facing…to my surprise this time, some of the songs sound EXACTLY THE SAME (or they’re basically the same song) 😦

Hyori’s composer, Bahnus, seems to be pulling all the right stops for the singer… towards a bad reputation. Bahnus helped compose seven songs for Hyori’s H-Logic album, and of those, six are questionably plagiarized.

What makes these cases so striking is that no where in the album credit, did M.Net Media acknowledge that these songs were sampled.

Sampling is taking a portion of the sound recording and using it for a different song. To prevent legal actions and accusations of plagiarism, artists who want to use the sampled clips must first and foremost obtain authorization from the original artist before they are able to sample.

Of the six accusations, one of the songs is confirmed to be plagiarized. A girl group from Canada known as Cookie Couture released their song “Boy, Bring it Back” in 2008 and Hyori released her version, “Bring it Back” this year.

►►Bad-mouthed SNSD Tiffany from Cubed3 interview is a fake

Following the great amount of interests from Korean and international fans and netizens regarding some of the responses that So Nyeo Shi Dae Tiffany made during her interview with English gaming site Cubed3, the host site has taken down the interview content and announced that the interview came from an unknown and unauthentic source.

*Even though I don’t know much about the article, it seems like this fake SNSD’s Tiffany was talking trash about Wonder Girls and Wonderfuls so that’s why fans were mad…

The site wrote, “It has come to the attention of Cubed3 that an unknown source has willingly attempted to portray themselves as Tiffany from Girls’ Generation in order to gain attention. “

Cubed3 replaced the interview content put up previously and replaced with:

►►2PM’s ‘Don’t stop, can’t stop’ lyrics spark controversy about..Jaebum?

On the 19th at 10 AM, 2PM released their third single, ‘Don’t Stop Can’t Stop.’

Their title track, ‘Without U,’ tells of a story of a man that was betrayed by a woman’s lies and his determination to stand back up again. The song creates an odd atmosphere with the combination of a piano and a synthesizer.

JYPE stated, “The smooth and charismatic performance that 2PM will show will be different from their previous activities. They will show a more mature side to them.”

On the other hand, the lyrics of their title track, ‘Without You,’ has become embroiled in controversy. The lyrics state, “Fine, it’s better that we break up. This was bound to have happened anyway, you were going to do this anyway. This is better. Without you, I’ll be cooler, I’ll stand up again, I’ll live on again. Were the things we had together just worthless enough to throw away? Don’t you even regret it? Don’t you care? Are you okay without me?”

Netizens have stated, “These are statements referring to Jaebum,” “They purposely wrote up the lyrics like that in order to create noise marketing,” and “This is too forceful, don’t force it.”

►►DBSK to form a 3-member group and promote that way?!

TVXQ members who are in dispute with SM Entertainment regarding exclusive contract issue; Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun are forming a three members unit in Japan.

According to the news aired by KBS 2TV ‘Entertainment Tonight’ on the 17th, Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun are forming three members unit to explore new activities.

Official from TVXQ Japan agency, AVEX said, “The three members Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun are already decided to form a new unit. The three will be active by continuing with new exclusive contract from AVEX.

Regarding this, TVXQ agency SM Entertainment which had been appealed by the three TVXQ members related to exclusive contract provisional injunction, promptly filed a lawsuit in claiming for damages worth 2.2 billion won as expression of their strong regret.

However, AVEX official through conversation with ‘Entertainment Tonight’ retorted, “I think the 3 members are more like the victims here. Anyway, we’re done preparing for the compensation of damages. We did this (the Japan contract) because the situation allows us to make a contract. We see no legal problem at all.”
