►►Jang Geun Suk confirmed to act for “You’re My Pet”
It was previously reported that actor Jang Geun Suk would star in the movie version of You’re My Pet, but there was a conspicuous lack of confirmation following the initial report. Now the confirmation is out and the news is official.
The movie is based on the Japanese manga Kimi wa petto, which was turned into a Japanese drama series starring Matsumoto Jun in 2003. In this film adaptation, Jang Geun Suk’s character is a rising ballet dancer who dreams of becoming a musical actor and choreographer. He’s a playful and affectionate character who’s impossible to hate. (As if!)
Jang Geun Suk, who most recently played an easily irritable character in the trendy drama You’re Beautiful, said, “I always want to try new things. I wanted to take on a bright character in my next project, and You’re My Pet seems like it suits me very well.” He is currently busy with dance rehearsals before the film begins shooting.
The movie is aiming for a release later this year. No word yet on casting for the female lead, to whom Jang becomes the “pet” character.

►►Fans crowd around Taiwanese airport to see Jang Geun Suk arrive
500 fans filled the Taoyuan International Airport to welcome Korean star Jang Geun-Suk on March 6th. He will be having a sold-out fan meeting at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall on the following day.
Jang Geun-Suk was accompanied by 12 staff members and his parents on the trip to Taiwan. He was dressed in black and wearing sunglasses, but was still easily spotted by fans. They welcomed the star with balloons and banners, along with deafening screams that might have others mistaken the airport for the night market.
Organizers arranged over 40 security guards and air police officers to protect him at the airport. Contrary to his character in the drama You’re Beautiful, Jang Geun-Suk smiled and waved at the fans who have been waiting for hours. He thanked them for coming and said he will do his best at the concert.

Jang Geun-Suk will soon meet with his fans on January 31st at 2PM from Olympic hall in Seoul, Korea that contains 3,000 seats. To show a different and unique performance, Jang Geun-Suk has been showing up in his management company everyday for a month, and often practice and prepare until the next day.
During the meeting, Jang Geun-Suk will be revealing his photos and videos that illustrates history of himself from his child actor days to his adult actor days in 21st century. He will be showing off rare-to-be-seen DJ skills and reveal his house including his bedroom, dress room, and desk.
He is also planning to show off his singing skills, which he has shown in public several times in many OSTs and commercial songs. It was reported that he will be singing songs from You’re Beautiful OST and also re-formulate his favorites from 1980s to 2000s, including songs from 2PM.
Jang Geun-Suk’s management company stated, “Jang Geun-Suk is determined to fully soak minds of fans who will fill up the fan meeting hall. He is practicing hard everyday. Also, he is coming up with many ideas without showing any fatigue during idea meetings. He is giving everything he has for the fan meeting.”
Also, they haven’t forgotten 700 international fans showing up for the fan meeting. He had prepared live translators for Japanese and Chinese languages, which are the two most used languages among the fans who had requested for the tickets. ►►Jang Geun Suk to hold an Asian Tour?
My first reaction was, “Huh? A tour for what? Is he jumping the gun on a singing career?” But as it turns out, Jang Geun-seok is planning a three-month (March through May) promotional tour through Asia to build buzz for the Asian broadcasts of his latest drama, You’re Beautiful, as well as the Asian releases of his recent films. The drama may only have garnered mania numbers in Korea, but it has enjoyed incredible popularity online and overseas — it’s been bought for broadcasting in 17 countries.
Jang hasn’t yet participated in official activities outside of Korea and Japan, but no matter; he’s heading to China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, where he will hold fanmeetings. This is in large part due to the requests of overseas fans, according to the notice posted on the SBS homepage. Jang’s management also stated that he also plans on holding fanmeetings in Thailand and the Philippines sometime this year.
Jang will also be holding a fanmeeting on January 31 at Seoul’s Olympic Hall. After his Asian tour ends, he’ll get back to work picking his next acting project.

Band C.N Blue had their debut showcase on 14th January at PM in Seoul KangNamGoo SeomYoo Centre.
During the showcase, they also revealed their debut title song ‘Alone’. The group consists of main vocalist cum guitarist Jung YongHwa, Lee JongHyun who is also in charge of vocals and guitar, drummer Kang MinHyuk and Lee JungShin who is in charge of bass and rap.
The group name comes from ‘Code Name Blue’ and they will be showing off their charms through various concepts like ‘Burning’ ‘Lovely’ ‘Untouchable’ and ‘Emotional’.

Actor Jang Geun-Suk’s fan meeting in Korea is coming up (Jan 31, 2010). It is being reported that many fans from all over Asia is coming to Korea already to prepare and join the fan meeting. This is surprising because Jang Geun-Suk never had any official activities in countries such as China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Regarding the fan meeting status and updates, Jang Geun-Suk’s management company commented, “There are many letters and gifts coming from fans all over the place for Jang Geun-Suk. He carefully reads and opens every one of them during his breaks. Some fans have written in Korean but many others didn’t. Therefore Jang Geun-Suk is very motivated to learn new languages and he is actually studying hard to do so.”
“More fans have requested to participated in the fan meeting, in multiples than what was expected and therefore we had to change the location of it several times in order to accomodate more fans. Jang Geun-Suk is looking forward to it and currently he is working hard to make preparations for the meeting.”
The fan meeting will be held at Seoul Olympic Park Olymic Hall at Jan. 31st 2PM.
