Is anyone actually attending this year’s MAMAs 2010?
The Mnet Asian Music Awards began to run into trouble this year starting with their controversial move from Korea to Macau.
Korean broadcast companies such as SBS, KBS and MBC argued the move saying that artists would have to choose between the MAMAs or their Korean end of the year show because of the timing.
DSP Entertainment says that KARA’s busy schedule is keeping the group from attending both the 2010 MAMAs as well as the 2010 Melon Music Awards.
All of the other artists have also cited busy schedules as their reason for pulling out.

►►Super Junior, BoA, and f(x) confirmed to appear @ Shanghai World Expo 2010
The Korean Pavillion Opening plans include Korean Day Activities on May 1st and 26th, Korean Weekend Activities (May 27th-May 29th), Korea-China Diplomatic Memorial Activities (August 15th), which will be host all at once.
Other events include Taekwondo demonstrations and korean music-related contents, in which Super Junior, BOA, f(x) and others of the sort will be attending with Chinese performers at the Korean Music Festival (May 30th).
Meanwhile, TVXQ’s Yunho is chosen as the representative for Korea at the same event.

►►DBSK’s Yunho chosen as Korea’s representative at World Expo 2010
Even though there’s been a lot of controversy and complications surrounding TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki, some good news has surfaced as it’s been announced that leader Yunho will be attending the 2010 World Expo as a representative of Korea.
If you’re unfamiliar with the World Expo, this event has been an important worldwide tradition where many countries gather and show off their national brand and culture. This year’s expo will begin on May 1st and end on October 31st in Shanghai, China.
On the 28th, Yunho’s representative stated, “Yunho has been chosen by KOTRA (Korean Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) to attend the expo on behalf of South Korea.”
The World Expo is one of biggest occurrences in global events and it’s quite an honor for Yunho to be representing South Korea.

We reported earlier about the tentative lineup for the upcoming Dream Concert 2010 and the finalized list has been announced recently.
Dream Concert is undoubtedly an event of epic proportions for kpop fans – with nearly twenty of Korea’s hottest artists performing on one stage in front of an audience that’s 40,000 members strong. For 2010, Dream Concert has been scheduled to take place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium next month on May 22nd, and will be taped for future broadcast by SBS.
